South Dekalb Remodel

It is with deep gratitude of your trust and support that we write to inform you of our ongoing plan to remodel the prestigious South DeKalb chapel of Gregory B. Levett & Sons Funeral Homes & Crematory. For over 43 years, this chapel has been the cornerstone of our organization and community, servicing a vast majority of the 50,000 families served since we established Gregory B. Levett & Sons Funeral Homes in 1980. 4347 Flat Shoals Parkway has been a place where we gathered to lean on one another during the most difficult of times, find solace in cherished memories and honor the lives and legacies of our departed loved ones. This was a very difficult decision for my family and I but ultimately, we decided a complete renovation was necessary to continue providing world class service to the families of South DeKalb and the greater Atlanta area.

Our mission has always been to serve you with compassion, dignity, and respect during life’s most tender moments. To continue fulfilling this sacred role, we are making thoughtful improvements to our facilities, ensuring a more peaceful and comforting space for you and your loved ones in your time of need. A space we can all be proud of with more viewing suites, a larger lobby, more spacious conference rooms and a modernized chapel with the latest audio and visual systems, we’ve spared no expense in making this chapel a crowned jewel of DeKalb County.

We understand how important it is to have a familiar and caring place to gather in difficult times, and we do not take lightly the trust you place in us. While our physical location will be temporarily closed, we remain fully open and dedicated to supporting you at our temporary office located at Rainbow Park Baptist Church, 2941 Columbia Drive, Decatur, GA 30034. Our team will be available at Rainbow Park and our three alternative locations around the clock and ready to provide the same high level of service you’ve become accustomed to.

We sincerely appreciate your patience and understanding as we take this step to improve the environment where we serve you. These renovations are a part of our ongoing commitment to our community and to providing a space that reflects the warmth and compassion you deserve. We look forward to reopening our doors and welcoming you back to a refreshed and more comforting chapel by Spring 2025 and until then, please know that we are here for you, as always, in every way that you need us.
