Walter S. Randall, III

On November 19, 1955, in Albany, GA Walter S. Randall lll took his breath. The late Cecilia Jackson and Walter S Randall ll took the title as parents. Walter moved to Atlanta, Ga at an early age where he was educated through the Atlanta Public School system graduating from Price High School in 1973. After graduation he decided to serve his country by joining the US Navy. Walter served during the Vietnam War as an aircraft mechanic. As the war came to an end his goal of parenting his children Sonda, Mentea and Candice was his focus. Walter attended Johnson & Wales Culinary School where earned an associate degree. His love for cooking and creating amazing dishes earned him the name “Chef Walt” He was contacted by several culinary professionals to provide his delicious food: Proof in the Pudding, World famous Georgia Dome, GA tech, Atlanta Tech, Bell South as well as catering and restaurant owner. He performed personal chef services for several professional music performers. Walter was famous for his twist on southern food: his Million-dollar Mac, sweet pie and collard greens. However! his favorite meal to prepare was Chicken Malsela with a kiss as he would it. Walter experienced some rough patches during his 70 yrs here on earth. The one experienced that shared with the young old after the death mom was his recovery. He continuously talked about his journey to be clean and sober. As his health failed, he continued his journey by rejection any pain medicine that would cause him to “lose my time”. He maintained for the past 13years. During this journey Walter received God’s forgiveness and was baptized in special service with his son Mentea at Berean Christian Church by Pastor Kerwin B. Lee as only he would it. Walter pass time was Raider’s football, his love for music and his ability to create amazing food day in and day out! As we remember Walt, Papa, Walter Mae, Granddad, Dad, daddy, bro law, solider, boyfriend and most affectionate “DOM” as called by different loved ones. He is leaving to his wife Janene Reese-Randall, 4 children Sonda (Dana) Albnathy, Candice (Joseph) Buckle,Mentea(Donmoiquie) Randall and Robert Randall, 5 bonus Chris Kenny, Malcolm Purvis, Azsan (Nyria) Purvis, NeeNahjah ( Tizpphora) Purvis and Foster Baskerville. 26 grandchildren and 1 great grandson. Mother in love Janice (Terrence) Martin and Father in love George Reese. 2 special nephews Joseph “name it” his music bubby and Omari his “Tell me something” food bubby. As well as a host family and friends. Walter Randall III., 70, of Covington, GA passed on Tuesday, August 18, 2026. Celebration of Life Service will be held on Thursday, September 3, 2026 11:00 PM at Berean Christian Church 2201 Young Rd., Stone Mountain, GA 30088.
