Tony Smith, Jr.

Tony C. Smith Jr. was born on July 18, 1974, in Tallahassee, Florida to Tony C. Smith, Sr. and Mary Ann Dickey Smith. Tony attended several schools in Leon County where he forged friendships that lasted his lifetime. He graduated from Godby High School with the Class of 1993. After moving to Atlanta, Georgia Tony attended Le Cordon Bleu Culinary School where he graduated at the top of his class. At an early age, Tony confessed his sins and gave his life to Christ under the Pastorship of J. Willard Toliver, at Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church, in Tallahassee, Florida. He attended services frequently there along with bible study every week. When he moved to Atlanta, Georgia in 2005, he continued to serve GOD, under the leadership of Pastor Terence Merritt at Life Church, Pastor Kevin at 12Stone Church and Pastor Richard Haynes at Salem Missionary Baptist Church. Each one of these pastors added to Tony’s life differently allowing him to grow spiritually and richly in the LORD. With their leadership and guidance Tony became an amazing man of GOD, husband, father, and friend. Tony had many talents, from drawing the Mascot of his elementary school, playing the percussion in the Godby High School Marching band, boy scouts, and eventually discovering his gift in the kitchen where he performed and prepared the most delicious meals with GRACE! Tony created our web designs for our businesses along with menus and meal plans for our many clients. Tony was smart from the start! When he was in elementary school, he tested into the Gifted program with an IQ of an adult three times his age. This made his parents and family members extremely proud then and throughout his life. Tony is and was an extraordinary man that embrace every area of life with a warm smile, giving heart, and a love to serve all mankind. In 2011, Tony married his One and Only true love Roshonda A. Smith. This love was birthed in July of 1993. After 10 years of separation the only fitting thing to do was to marry and vow to GOD and each other that they would be together until death did them apart. Tony and Ro (as Tony called her) were inseparable. They did everything as one including parenting their eight children. No matter the storms at the end of the rainbow stood the two of them with their love for each other as the POT of GOLD! Their love was one of a kind. Together they conquered life via prayer, love, understanding, obedience, and faithfulness to one another. Through the many trials there were an abundance of tribulations which allowed them to celebrate every obstacle. To captivate and expand on what GOD had done for their marriage, Tony and Ro founded Marriage Life Rocks Ministry. This ministry ministered to other married couples around the world. They counseled couples, prayed with them, went to church with them, cried with them, help them start businesses, traveled with them, and celebrated life as ONE. Although Tony seemed shy at first encounters, he was the head of it all with a little nudge of love and team spirit shouting “YOU GOT THIS, Babe!” Tony enjoyed an extensive career in the Culinary Arts field. He worked for many prominent companies such as Publix, Marriott, Druid Hills Golf Course, Florida State University, Ted’s Montana Grille, Carrabba’s, Longhorn Steakhouse, and etcetera. However, his most profound joy was owning and operating Family First Bistro & Catering, LLC, which within the last year, he changed the name to Flava First Bistro& Catering. On October 28, 2021, our King was summoned home to be with our LORD and Savior Jesus Christ. Tony shared many special moments and events with family and friends and leaves to mourn his beautiful wife and best friend Roshonda A. Smith. Eight children, four girls Marquiesha Pless, Tianna Smith, Kawanza Smith and Aleeya Smith. Four boys Takari Smith, Christopher Smith, Jeremiah Smith, and Kevin Smith; Seven grandbabies, Takari Smith Jr., Zamir Smith, Jakari Smith, Koby Smith, Eyani Holmes, Eury Holmes Jr., Mackenzie Robinson, Brece Robinson grandmother Mary Ann Dickey, his father Tony C.
