Sara Elizabeth Hyatt

With profound sadness and everlasting love, we announce the passing of Sara Elizabeth Hyatt, who departed this life on June 5, 2026, at the age of 64. Sara was born on November 24, 1961, in Hartford, Connecticut, and was raised in Bloomfield, Connecticut. She was the beloved daughter of Gladys Elizabeth Hill, a dedicated teacher, and Clifton Hyatt, a courageous firefighter. From an early age, Sara embodied the values of hard work, compassion, intelligence, and kindness that would define her throughout her life. Sara graduated from Salem State University and went on to build a remarkable career at Cheers Boston, where she dedicated 35 years of service before retiring to Georgia. Working in Human Resources and Payroll, Sara had a true gift for numbers and took great pride in her work. She was respected by colleagues and cherished by all who had the privilege of working alongside her. Above all else, Sara was a woman whose heart knew no limits. She was selfless, warm, intelligent, welcoming, and deeply compassionate. She had a rare ability to make everyone feel seen, heard, and loved. To know Sara was to love her, and her presence brought comfort, joy, and laughter to countless lives. Sara found happiness in life’s simple and beautiful moments. She loved shopping, exploring new foods and experiences, attending church, and embracing every opportunity to enjoy life to its fullest. She had impeccable taste in music, and music was one of the greatest bonds she shared with those she loved. Whether singing, dancing, or simply listening together, those moments created memories that will be treasured forever. Sara’s greatest joy and proudest accomplishment was her family. She leaves behind her beloved and only daughter, Chantiarose Scott; her cherished granddaughter, Lehlani Scott; her loving sisters, Marylin Tinling and Crystal Byrd; and her dearest friends, Roberto Scott, Marc Lomanno, Debra Palecki, and Diana Burton, all of whom held a special place in her heart. To her daughter, Sara was more than a mother, she was a best friend, a confidante, a source of wisdom, and an endless well of unconditional love. The bond they shared through conversation, music, laughter, and life’s many moments was extraordinary and will remain a lasting source of comfort and strength. Though our hearts are broken by her absence, we are forever grateful for the love, kindness, and light Sara brought into this world. Her legacy lives on in the lives she touched, the memories she created, and the love she gave so freely. She will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever cherished.
