**Obituary for Ollie Mae Dunn** *April 14, 1948 – July 3, 2026* There are people who simply make the world brighter by being in it. Ollie Mae “Grandma ODEE” Dunn was one of those rare people. She was the heart of her family, a source of unwavering love, laughter, wisdom, and strength, and a woman whose kindness reached far beyond the walls of her own home. Whether you knew her as Mother, Grandma, Great-Grandma, Sister, Aunt, Friend, or simply as Grandma ODEE, you were blessed by her remarkable spirit. Born Ollie Mae Mack on April 14, 1948, in Fort Deposit, Alabama, she was the beloved daughter of the late Gertrude Perdue and Ira Reynolds. She was one of two fraternal twin daughters and was raised in a large, loving family before moving with her parents to Atlanta, Georgia, where she attended Atlanta Public Schools. Ollie possessed a quiet strength and remarkable work ethic. She dedicated more than 30 years of faithful service as a receptionist with the State of Georgia, earning the respect of coworkers and friends alike before enjoying a well-deserved retirement. In 1969, Ollie married Van Preston Dunn, and together they welcomed two children, Van Preston Dunn IIand Vanita “Paige” Dunn. While many knew her by different titles throughout her life, there was no role she cherished more than being a mother, grand-mother, and great-grandmother. Her family was her greatest joy. She poured herself into every generation that followed her, offering unconditional love, wise counsel, warm hugs, and a listening ear whenever it was needed. Her home was a place of comfort, her heart was always open, and her greatest happiness came from watching her family grow and thrive. Ollie believed life was meant to be enjoyed. She loved dancing, shopping, spending time with family, and sharing laughter with everyone around her. She had an unforgettable sense of humor and was known for saying she enjoyed “a little gin that’ll make you sin.” Those who loved her will forever remember her smile, her playful personality, and the joy she brought into every gathering. Later in life, God opened a door that neither she nor her family could have imagined. Known affectionately around the world as Grandma ODEE, she captured the hearts of millions through videos created alongside her beloved grandson, Daniel “DEETREMMM” Moore. Together they brought laughter, authenticity, and love to more than three million followers, proving that genuine joy transcends generations. While many knew her through a screen, those closest to her knew that the warmth, hu-mor, and love they witnessed online were exactly who she was every single day. She was preceded in death by her beloved grandson, Quanterrian Dunn, whose memory remained forever in her heart. She leaves to celebrate her beautiful life her devoted children, Van Preston Dunn II(Robin) and Vanita “Paige” Dunn; her loving grandchildren, Quentin Dunn, Ericsha Forbes, Emiyah Forbes, Jessica Dunn, Daniel “D” Moore, and Andrew Dunn; and her treasured great-grandchildren, Quanterrian, Greyson, Jet, Charm, Elyric, Erin, Masyn, Nafiyah, Quentin Jr., and Syvn Outlaw. She also leaves behind her beloved brothers and sisters, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends, and countless others whose lives were forever changed by her love. Although our hearts are heavy with sorrow, we rejoice in knowing that her life was one of purpose, grace, and extraordinary love. She taught us to laugh often, love deeply, for-give freely, and treasure the people God places in our lives. Her influence will continue to live on through every lesson she taught, every smile she inspired, and every life she touched. Her legacy is not measured simply by the years she lived, but by the countless hearts she forever changed. “Well done, good and faithful servant.” Grandma ODEE, your earthly work is complete, but your laughter will still echo in our hearts, your wisdom will continue to guide us, and your love will remain woven into our family forever. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Thursday, July 9, 2026, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm at Gregory B. Levett and Sons Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc. Interment Lincoln Cemetery.
