The cover of Life's Book has closed for Mrs. Naomi Lois McGuire, of Stone Mountain, Georgia when she passed away, Friday October 16,2020 at the age of 83. Mrs. Naomi McGuire a native of Jasper County, Georgia was born to her parents, the late Mr. Willie and Mrs. Berniece Benton, the late Mr. Henry J Carr on November 2, 1936, She was the second oldest of five; two (Mr. Robert Cornwell and (Ms. Odessa Benton) have preceded her in death. Naomi, affectionally known as ‘Sally’ grew up to be strong, honest, dependable, loving person. And was married to Elder Harold McGuire. Naomi was a Home Maker, Seamstress, and avid Gardener. However, cooking and sewing for her family as well as loving her family was by far, the highlight of her life. She adored her family and is adored by them greatly – and cooking and sewing for them was her way of expressing her love, although she voiced “I love you” daily. A favorite saying of hers “Her children were the best part of her life and she loved All her babes”. Naomi’s relationship with Christ was established many years ago. She loved God. However, when she was unable to physically go to the church building, she loved viewing the late Bishop G.E. Patterson, on the recorded version, her Son-In-Law, Bishop Arthur F. Mosley, Cathedral of Faith COGIC, and Pastor Terrence A. Merritt, MD., Church of Atlanta via the internet. Naomi’s lifelong career was raising her children and supplementing raising her children’s children whenever needed. She was a caretaker for many families and surrogate mother to many and dearly beloved. Leaving many fond memories to be cherished by many, her husband of 53 years, children: the late Mr. Marvin Ammons, the late Mr. and Mrs. Randolph Ammons (Sharon), Ms. Deborah Hightower (Debbie), Mr. Daniel Ammons (Danny), Ms. Cheryl Benton, Ms. Vickie Martin, Mr. Barry McGuire (Rick), Mr. and Mrs. Langston Scott (Wanda), Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Mosley (Sheila), Ms. Kimberly McGuire (Kim), Mr. Harold McGuire Jr., Ms. Sonya McGuire, Ms. Larissa McGuire. *** Due to COVID-19 a mask will be required to enter the chapel *** Reposing at Gregory B.
