Celebrating the Life of Legrand Etienne Legrand Etienne, born in St. Louis du Sud, Haiti, lived a life grounded in faith, family, and hard work. From a young age, he pursued his education and worked diligently to build a future filled with purpose. In time, he met the love of his life, Yvica Etienne. The two married and later immigrated to the United States, beginning their journey together in New York before eventually settling in Miami, Florida, where they lived for 15 years. Later, they made their home in Conyers, Georgia, where they continued to build a loving family and lasting legacy. Legrand was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who led by example. He valued education, discipline, and prayer, instilling these virtues in those around him. His home was always filled with faith, laughter, and wisdom. Whether reading his Bible or writing for hours, Legrand’s love for knowledge and reflection inspired everyone who knew him. He found joy in his children and grandchildren, treating not only his family but also the neighborhood children as his own. His caring spirit and protective nature made everyone feel seen, safe, and loved. Even as his health declined, his light never dimmed—his humor, smile, and unwavering faith continued to lift the hearts of those around him. On his final day, he was surrounded by the warmth and love of his family. Legrand Etienne departed this life on November 3, 2025. He is survived by his devoted wife of 64 years, Yvica Etienne; his children, Mirlene Levy Etienne, Patrick Etienne, and Faquethy Etienne; his beloved son-in-law, Pierre Levy; his grandchildren, Mitsy Levy, Shanika Levy, Danayssa Levy, Laura Etienne, Anne Patrice Etienne, and Melissa Etienne; one great-grandchild, Cataleya Levy; and his cherished nieces and nephew, Marie Jessie Peterson, Margaret Richiez, and Frantz Jean François. Legrand’s legacy of love, strength, and faith will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him. Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2025 10:30 AM at St Pius X Catholic Church, 2621 GA-20, Conyers, GA 30013.
