Mr. Kenneth Evans

Kenneth Evans affectionally known as Ken departed life Wednesday, March 20, 2024, surrounded by his loving wife and daughter. His Paternal and Maternal Grandparents, Father, Clarence Evans Sr., Mother, Annie Mae Evans, and brother Clarence Evans Jr preceded him in death. Kenneth was born on August 8, 1952, in Douglas, Georgia. He gave his life to God at an early age and was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. During high school, he played the baritone saxophone, graduating from Coffee County High School in 1970 and enlisting in the United States Army. After the conclusion of his military career, Ken moved to Atlanta and graduated from Massey Business College. Kenneth had many jobs, he was a district manager of Morse Shoes, Owned Sunshine Pack and Ship in Lithonia, Georgia, and Retired as a Logistic Manager from Ikea in 2017. In 1979 Ken met the love of his life Judy and they joined together on August 7, 1982. Through their 42 years of marriage, there were many adventures. This union was truly a union of God a match made in heaven. The joy of the lord created this union and they both were committed to the marriage lasting and watching it grow. Their love was so genuine, and they truly could make each other happy by speaking each other’s love language. Their philosophy was to live below their means because material things never mattered. Because it was all about their hearts. They traveled, loved to entertain friends and family and Ken was always ready to save a dance for his favorite lady. Through this marriage, a daughter Tiffany Sheri Evans was born on August 30, 1985. Tiffany was his pride and joy. He equipped her to be financially secure, ensuring she could always sustain herself. He was always there to lend a listening ear and provide her with a helping hand as he strived to be the best father he could be. He set an impressionable example of what it means to be a man, father, husband, and friend. Tiffany blessed him with his first grandson Zion who put a permanent smile on his face. They were inseparable and Zion was an inspiration and reason to continue to live because Zion was his Joy. Kenneth lived a life of mentorship, and his positive nature was infectious to everyone he met. He was a supportive family man and truly an inspiration to all on how to live and do life with no regrets.
