Kenneth Carl Cureton Jr.

HIS STORY... Mr. Kenneth Carl Cureton, Jr. (affectionately known as “Ken”) was born January 12, 1964 in Birmingham, Alabama to Odell James and the late Kenneth Carl Cureton, Sr.(Larry Holiday). He made his transition from his earthly home to begin his eternal life on Thursday, June 23, 2022. Ken accepted Christ at an early age at St. John Missionary Baptist Church in Aliquippa, Pennsylvania. He was a 1981 graduate of Aliquippa High School and furthered his education at the College of Pittsburgh, where he obtained his Associate’s Degree. He enlisted in the United States Air Force and served his country for five years. Upon an honorable discharge from the military, he continued his education at DeVry University, earning a Bachelor’s Degree and proceeded to obtain a Master’s Degree from the University of Phoenix. He entered the ministry and became an ordained minister, continuing his Theological Studies at Covenant Fellowship Church International Bible Institute. Minister Cureton established the Claudine’s Closet Ministry for the homeless, in which he served as the C.F.O. He devoted his ministry to helping others, and he especially loved spending time with his family. Everyone who met Ken knew he was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan, because of his extensive fan gear and massive Steeler collection showcased in his Man Cave. He was preceded in death by maternal grandparents Robert, Sr. (Papa) and Mary (Madea) James; paternal grandparents Willie and Mattie Cureton; father Larry Holiday, Sr.; special cousin Kenneth Murray; brother in love Derrick Ansley, and other close family members. Those left to cherish his precious memories are his loving wife Dana (Sunny) Cureton of 14 years; four daughters, Jazmin Cureton, Shante (Samuel) Kibby, Jasmine Vinson, & Destiny Ansley- Cureton; two sons, Kenneth Carl Cureton, III and Darius Vinson; six grandchildren, Aubrey Vinson, Kylar Norman, Jordan Carl Burnette, Chance Vinson, Samuel Kibby, Jr.and Brooklyn Vinson; his loving mother Odell James Holiday; sisters, Angela (Jacquelin) Riddle, Latrice (Antoine) Golson, Keisha (Ralph) Green; two brothers, Dorian Holiday and Larry Holiday, Jr.; sisters in love, Sonia Stewart, Sheila (Donnie) Burris, Keisha Sutton, Alicia and Kimberly Billings; mother in love, Maria Damons; father in love, Johnny Billings; special aunts Equilla (James)Tabb, Willie Pearl (Ulas) Foster, Willie Mae Odell, Barbara Jean Cureton, and Vivian Jones; special cousins Alisa (Gerald) Grayson and Kim Cureton; God children, Adrieanna and Tymoney Watkins, Sydney Stewart, Andrew and Alex Cureton; and numerous dearly loved nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and co-workers.
