In Loving Memory of Kawalski Tremayne Washington October 3, 1977 – August 1, 2026 It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Kawalski Tremayne Washington, affectionately known as “Kobe T Black,” who departed this life on August 1, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. Kawalski was born on October 3, 1977, to the late Clara Evette Washington Palmer and Michael Dyson. As the eldest of four children, Kawalski embraced his role as a brother and family leader with love, strength, and dedication. Kawalski was a proud 1995 high school graduate. Shortly after graduating, he answered the call to serve his country, joining the United States Navy in 1995, where he served until 1996. Following his service in the Navy, he continued his education at Xavier University, where he further prepared himself for a life of purpose and achievement. After completing his education, Kawalski relocated to Atlanta, Georgia, where he began what would become a successful and promising career in property management. Through his dedication, leadership, and commitment to serving others, he eventually became the Director of the Decatur Housing Authority. His career reflected his ability to lead, encourage, and make a meaningful difference in the lives of those around him. Never one to be limited by one chapter of life, Kawalski later made the courageous decision to leave his career in property management and pursue his entrepreneurial dreams. With determination and vision, he opened a successful early childhood learning academy, creating a place where children could learn, grow, and thrive. His entrepreneurial spirit and willingness to invest in the future of others were a testament to his character and his desire to leave a lasting impact. Kawalski will be remembered for his strength, ambition, generosity, leadership, and the love he had for his family and those he considered family. He touched many lives throughout his journey and leaves behind a legacy that will continue through the people he loved and inspired. Kawalski leaves to cherish his memory his three siblings: Eurika Washington, Anthony Washington, and Ebony Washington; his nieces, Da’zae, Evette, Kennedy, Genesis, and Olivia; his nephews, Anthony Jr. and Kareem; and his great-niece, Shiloh. He also leaves behind a host of loving family members, friends, colleagues, and chosen family who will forever hold his memory close to their hearts. Though Kawalski's earthly journey has come to an end, the love he shared, the lives he touched, and the legacy he created will live on. His memory will forever remain a part of the hearts of those blessed to know and love him. Rest peacefully, Kawalski.
