Jacquelyn Tracey King

Jacquelyn Tracy King was born September 12, 1971, in Atlanta, Ga. She was the second-born of three children to John and Joyce King. She grew up in South DeKalb County and she remained in the area for all her adult life where she married and raised a loving family. Throughout her life and career, Tracy made many friends and was well known for her smile and dedication to her family. Upon graduation from Lakeside High School in DeKalb County, Tracy attended Georgia Southern University in Statesboro, Ga. She started her professional career at SunTrust Bank and after a brief stint at the bank, she left to work at Georgia Pacific where she had a twenty-year career in Human Resources. Upon leaving Georgia Pacific, she started a new career with DeKalb County Schools, working as the Registrar for Laurel Ridge Elementary School. During her time at the school, Tracy enjoyed doting over the students and helping their families. After a long courtship, Tracy married Mr. Anthony Davis of Augusta, Ga. and they settled and built their lives in Ellenwood, Ga. They welcomed two sons, Jordan and Austin to their family. Tracy truly enjoyed taking care of the men in the house where she was often seen on the sidelines of various sports events and other activities for her sons. She was well-known for advocating for her boys and giving them all she had. Tracy’s spiritual life was formed and nurtured through her baptism and confirmation at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church where she was a member since childhood. She enjoyed attending mass with her family and she enjoyed the warm fellowship from her fellow parishioners. In her spare time, Tracy enjoyed crocheting, baking and she loved the beach. After a courageous battle with cancer, Tracy transitioned from this earthly realm and into the arms of The Lord on December 11th. She leaves to mourn her passing a devoted husband Mr. Anthony Davis, sons Jordan Davis and Austin Davis; parents John and Joyce King, Mother-in-Law Maozie Davis (Robert), brother Rev. Mr. Tony King (Alanna), sister Tiffany King, Sisters-in-Law Tameka Cook (Lee) and Kenya Reynolds (Maurice), aunt Frances Williams, nephew Gary King, Shantrice Williams, Sanaii Williams and a host of loving family and friends.
