In Loving Memory of Ellen Marie Johnson-Adams With profound sadness and heartfelt love, we announce the passing of Ellen Marie Johnson-Adams, who departed this life on May 5, 2026, at the age of 60 in Stone Mountain, Georgia. Ellen was a devoted wife, loving mother, gifted minister, preacher, teacher, and servant of God whose life was dedicated to spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ and uplifting others through faith, wisdom, compassion, and love. She was a woman of remarkable spiritual strength who touched countless lives through her ministry, encouragement, and unwavering devotion to God. Ellen pastored faithfully alongside her husband, Henry Louis Adams Jr., through their ministry, “Overcoming With Joy Breakthrough Ministries International.” Together, they worked tirelessly to inspire hope, healing, and spiritual growth in the lives of many. Later, Ellen expanded her calling by founding the virtual ministry “Transformation Through the Scriptures,” where she ministered to and taught individuals around the world, helping them better understand the Word of God and deepen their relationship with Him. A profound teacher of the Gospel, Ellen had a unique ability to explain scripture with clarity, compassion, and spiritual insight. Her life’s mission was to inspire, uplift, and lead souls toward salvation and a closer walk with God. Beyond ministry, Ellen found joy in reading and treasured her diverse collection of books. She possessed a natural talent for singing and carried a warm and inspirational spirit that brought comfort and encouragement to everyone she encountered. She was known for her giving heart, kind soul, and dedication to helping others. Ellen leaves to cherish her precious memory her beloved husband, Henry Louis Adams Jr.; her loving daughter, Katelyn Marie Adams; her sister, Anita Johnson; her brother, Pastor Orlando Johnson; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, friends, and loved ones whose lives were forever touched by her presence. Though our hearts are broken by this tremendous loss, we take comfort in knowing that Ellen’s legacy of faith, love, ministry, and compassion will continue to live on through all those she inspired. “Well done, thou good and faithful servant.” — Matthew 25:2
