Cheryl Chenise Ringer- Keith

Cheryl Chenise Ringer-Keith was born on July 31, 1959, in Atlanta, Georgia, to Johnnie Kate Weston Ringer and the late James Wesley Ringer. Raised in Fayetteville and Atlanta, Georgia, Cheryl attended Walter F. George High School, graduating with the Class of 1977. During her high school years, she was an active member of the school band, where she proudly played the tuba. Cheryl was a devoted woman of faith who loved and served her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She was a member of Fellowship of Faith in East Point, Georgia, and later attended Dodd-Sterling United Methodist Church in Atlanta, Georgia. Her steadfast faith guided her life and was a source of strength, comfort, and inspiration to those who knew her. Cheryl had a beautiful voice and found great joy in singing. She especially enjoyed serving in the church choir, where she shared her love of music and faith. Whether in church, at home, or among family and friends, Cheryl was always happy to lift her voice in song, bringing warmth and joy to those around her. Committed to lifelong learning and service, Cheryl continued her education at Clayton State University, earning both a bachelor’s degree and a nursing degree. She went on to dedicate more than 40 years of compassionate and faithful service as a Registered Nurse, caring for countless patients throughout her distinguished career at Clayton General Hospital (now Southern Regional Medical Center) and Emory Decatur Hospital. Outside of her professional life, Cheryl found great joy in cheering on her favorite sports teams. She was a devoted fan of the Atlanta Falcons, Atlanta Braves, and the Georgia Bulldogs, rarely missing an opportunity to support and celebrate their successes. Cheryl also enjoyed traveling and looked forward to her annual vacations in Montego Bay, Jamaica. These trips brought her great joy and provided cherished opportunities to relax, create lasting memories, and enjoy the beauty and culture of the island. She leaves to cherish her precious memories: Carla V. Ringer (sister), Stacey Ringer (sister), Tomiker Ringer, and the late Brent Ringer (brother); her loving children, Michael Keith, Tony Keith, Shunte’ Keith Russell & William Thomas Russell, III, and Cedric Keith; six grandchildren, Michael Keith, Jr., Sydney Russ, Zachary Taylor, Jordyn Taylor-Keith, Aidan Russell, and Tyler Russell. Cheryl deeply loved her family and friends and cherished every moment spent with them. Her kindness, warmth, and unwavering devotion touched the lives of many, and the love she shared will be remembered and treasured forever.
