**Obituary for Brenda Lorine Williams** With heavy hearts and deep love, we announce the passing of Brenda Lorine Williams, who departed this life on May 11, 2026, at Emory University Hospital surrounded by the love of her family. Brenda was born on May 27, 1967, in Atlanta, Georgia to the late Lurine Jones and Charles Edward Jones. She graduated from Murphy High School and went on to build a life centered around love, family, faith, and creating lasting memories for those around her. Brenda was nurturing, caring, and unwaveringly devoted to the people she loved. Though quiet by nature, her presence filled every room with warmth and comfort. She had a calming spirit that made people feel safe, seen, and deeply cared for. She was the kind of person who listened without judgment and loved without conditions. No matter the circumstance, Brenda was always just a phone call away. She had a special gift for turning ordinary moments into cherished memories. Brenda loved shopping and was known for finding amazing deals everywhere she went. A true thrifting fashionista, she enjoyed decorating, traveling, and planning unforgettable celebrations for family and friends. Whether it was birthdays, holidays, family gatherings, or intimate weekends with her grandchildren filled with cookie decorating, arts and crafts, movie nights, and laughter, Brenda poured love into every detail. She did not simply host events, she created joy-filled experiences people would remember forever. Family was the center of Brenda’s world. She was a relentlessly supportive mother and grandmother who never missed an important event, no matter how big or small. Even during her illness, she continued putting her children and grandchildren before herself, making sure everyone else was cared for first. Her love was sacrificial, steady, and unconditional. She was lovingly known as “Nanny” by her beloved grandchildren, Da’Karri Whitehead and Da’Kaiya Whitehead, who brought endless happiness and laughter into her life. Brenda also expressed her love through cooking. Family members especially looked forward to her famous spaghetti and wings with her secret sauce, a meal that quickly became a favorite tradition among cousins and loved ones. A woman of unwavering faith in God, Brenda carried grace, compassion, and quiet strength throughout her life. Her caring heart and nurturing spirit left a lasting impact on every person fortunate enough to know her. Brenda was preceded in death by her parents, Lurine Jones and Charles Edward Jones, and her brother, Earl Jones. She leaves to cherish her precious memory her loving children: Shaneka Williams, Jasmine Williams, and Douglas Williams Jr.; her cherished grandchildren: Da’Karri Whitehead, and Da’Kaiya Whitehead; a special friend: Tony; her brothers: Carl Jones, Lorenzo Jones (Willie Mae), Stanley Jones (Linda), Ricardo Jones (Brenda), and Kent Jones (Marsha); her dear friends: Mona and Denise, and a host of nieces, nephews, greatnieces, great-nephews, cousins, extended family members, and lifelong friends who will forever cherish her love and memory. The Celebration of Life will take place on Monday, May 18th, 2026, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm at Gregory B. Levett and Sons Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. SOUTH DEKALB CHAPEL 4347 Flat Shoals Pkwy Decatur, GA 30034 with an opportunity to honor Brenda's life with words and memories shared by those closest to her. A visitation will be held on Saturday, May 16th, 2026, from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm. Please express your memories and condolences here on our website. Following the service, Brenda will be laid to rest at Kennedy Memorial Gardens in Ellenwood, GA. A repast to share further memories and companionship will occur at Venue 78 in Lilburn, GA, from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm on the same day.
