REMEMBERING BOBBIE JEAN JOHNSON Bobbie Jean Johnson entered this world on May 30, 1953, in Woodville, Georgia, born to the late Eddy Lee Fulton and Lizzie Mai James. From the very beginning, Bobbie’s life would become one filled with love, family, hard work, laughter, and countless memories that will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. Bobbie was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved siblings, Ella Mae Partee, Annie Laura Mitchell, Mary Alice Smith, andvSarah Lowe. She leaves behind two loving siblings, Helen Fulton and Patricia Flether, with whom she shared a lifetime of family memories. Bobbie’s educational journey began in the Atlanta Public School System, where she attended Washington High School. As she entered adulthood, she met James Johnson, and then later married in June 1978. Together, they shared a chapter of Bobbie’s life that brought family, growth, and many cherished memories. Bobbie was a woman who believed in working hard and taking care of the people she loved. She dedicated an incredible 35 years of service to Cintas in Decatur, Georgia, where she was known for her dedication and strong work ethic. She remained there until the company relocated to Kennesaw, Georgia. Her many years of service were a reflection of the commitment and determination she carried throughout her life. Outside of work, Bobbie found happiness in the simple things. She loved cooking dinner for her family, and there was something special about gathering together to enjoy a meal she prepared. Feeding her family was one of the many ways she showed her love and care. Bobbie also loved spending time outdoors, especially working in her yard and planting flowers. She took pride in keeping her home and yard looking nice and could often be found outside tending to something. Cleaning the house, working in the yard, and enjoying a cold Natural Light were simply part of Bobbie’s everyday routine. Anyone who knew Bobbie also knew about her love for thrift stores and yard sales. She enjoyed searching for a good bargain and discovering something special that someone else might have overlooked. Shopping and thrifting were more than hobbies for her—they were things she truly enjoyed and looked forward to. Bobbie was also known for her unforgettable personality. She had a way with words, and those who knew her knew that she was never afraid to speak her mind. You never had to wonder what Bobbie was thinking because she would let you know. Her honesty, humor, strength, and one-of-a-kind personality made her someone who could never be forgotten. Whether she was making you laugh, giving advice, telling a story, or simply having a conversation, Bobbie had a presence that stayed with you. Above everything else, family was an important part of Bobbie’s life. She was a mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend. Through each of these roles, she created memories that her loved ones will carry with them for generations. Her family will remember the meals she cooked, the conversations they shared, the laughter, the family gatherings, her favorite sayings, her love of shopping, and the ordinary days that now mean so much more. Although her passing brings great sadness, Bobbie’s life was much more than the day she left this earth. Her life was made up of 73 years of memories, love, lessons, laughter, hard work, family, and unforgettable moments. Her legacy lives on through her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, siblings, and everyone fortunate enough to have known her. Bobbie leaves to cherish her love and a lifetime of precious memories her three children: Tameka (Ramarius) Banks, Kwanza Johnson, and Zakenya Nelson. She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren: Jamika Lowe, Marquita Polain, Gabriel Johnson, Kwanza Worthy, Shronda Burch, Quinteshia Nelson, Travyonna Manuel, Jamel Nelson, Jariah Wallace, Kaylan Johnson, and Kwanza Johnson Jr. Her legacy continues through her eight great-grandchildren, who will carry a part of her with them as they grow. Bobbie also leaves to cherish her memory her sisters, Helen Fulton and Patricia Flether, along with a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends whose lives were touched by her presence. While words can never fully express what Bobbie meant to her family, the memories she created will continue to bring comfort. Every home-cooked meal, every flower blooming in the yard, every trip to a thrift store or yard sale, every laugh, every conversation, and every story shared about her will serve as a reminder of the woman she was. Bobbie Jean Johnson will be deeply missed, but never forgotten. Her voice may be silent and her place in the family may now be empty, but the love she gave and the memories she created will live on forever in the hearts of those who loved her. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Tuesday, August 18th, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm, to honor and remember Bobbie’s vibrant life and the joy she brought to the world at Gregory B.
