Mr. Attias Daveonn Cade- Holeman

OBITUARY On the 27th of August in 2003, “a star was born,” in New Brunswick, NJ, and his name was, is and will forever be “Attias Daveonn Cade-Holeman.” Unique as his name, which means a “present from God,” he will always be a gift to his parents, Monique Cade and Gerald Holeman, and all who knew him. Attias attended Franklin Township Public Schools from grades K through 2. In 2011, he relocated to Gwinnett County, Georgia with his mother, beloved brother Nigel and stepfather Joseph. He attended Peachtree Elementary School, Pickneyville and Berkmar Middle Schools and Berkmar High School. Attias was a part of Berkmar’s High School class of 2021. He was an avid scholar who took pride in his education. Attias was also an athlete who loved the games of football and basketball. He was a running back and a wide receiver for GFL’s: Norcross’ Blue Devils and Brookwood Broncos. From the time Attias was born all who encountered him knew his small stature was no match for his big personality - that was larger than life. In other words, Attias NEVER met a stranger. To know him was to love him. He excelled in academics, communication, music, and sports! Attias conquered anything he put his mind to. Attias was a passionate writer, who told stories through his music. In 2015, he and his two-dear brother-friends: D’Shaun Suggs and Jaylen Garner created the well-known, destined for stardom, hip hop trio, “Next Big Thing,” also known as “NBT.” Together, they created content that reached the youth throughout the metro and his treasured NAWF (north) Atlanta. Attias’ music has contributed to his legacy that will never be forgotten. At an earlier age, Attias accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his personal Savior, and he strived to live a life that was pleasing to God and those he loved. On the 26th of March in 2023, Attias’ bigger than life persona transcended to the heavens. While our hearts are overwhelmed with sorrow, we know “to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.” Attias has moved on to join: his maternal great grandparents: Dorothy and James Cade, Christine and Esaw Lewis, Sr; paternal great grandparents: Mary Elizabeth “Momu” & David Holeman, Sr., Rosalee & Douglas Best; paternal grandmothers: Sandra Holeman and Claudia Reid; uncle, Fredrick Rose; aunts: Chioma Holeman and Renee Vaughn and brother friend, Delon Richardson. He leaves to cherish his memory: his devoted and loving mother, Monique Cade-Etheredge and stepfather, Joseph Etheredge Jr.; father, Gerald Holeman and his wife, Tanisha; beloved brothers: Nigel Weeks and James Etheredge; an adored “twin” sister, Syann Noel; dedicated grandmother and second mom, Carolyn Cade; faithful grandfather, David Holeman, Jr.; beloved great aunts: Faye Williams, Dorothy Cade, Oneatha Lewis Jones, Ernestine Lewis Grice, and Shirley Lewis. Great uncles: James (Sophia) Lewis, Joe Nathan (Annette) Lewis, Quillie (Patsy) Lewis, Johnny Bartell, Douglas Best, Jr., and Richard (Carolyn) Best.
