Arnold W. Sinclair

Arnold W. Sinclair December 1965 – November 2024. Born to the late Wilfred and Mother Edna M Sinclair which both Panamanian’s and high school sweethearts. Out of this union three Sinclair children were born. Arnold was born in Panama, Canal Zone on December 20-1965, a big baby weighing 8lbs. 10oz. Arnold the youngest of the three Sinclair siblings. Being a military family, the Sinclair family lived in many places including, Panama, California, Bogota Columbia, Alexandria Virgina, Ft Lee Virgina and finally Augusta, Georgia, where his father retired after 20 years of military service. While in high school, Arnold played football and trumpet, as a member of Fantastic Marching Blue at Glen Hills high school. After graduation, Arnold earned a scholarship taking his musical talents to Alcorn State. He was a part of their marching band Sounds Dyn-O-Mite (SOD). From there he later transferred to Albany State University (ASU) played for Marching Ram Show Band. At Albany State University Arnold grew and developed many lifelong friendships as well as learned from several respected mentors. Arnold earned his Bachelor of Arts in Music with a Minor in Music Education. While living in Albany, Georgia, Arnold began his career as a television photography. He gradually began his career as a television photographer with the Fox affiliate, WFXL-TV. The job allowed him to match his passion for photography with news reporting Arnold was working at WALB-TV, also in Albany, where Arnold was the photography of the historic flood of 1994 devasted parts of the city and South Georgia. After leaving Albany he was the Assistant chief Videographer WSAV-TV Savannah Ga. Following a stint at several TV stations in West Palm Beach WPTV-TV, TV-79, WBVF-TV. Arnold was offered and accepted the chief video photographer position at WTOC in Savannah 2006-2011. After leading the team and mentoring new videographers, opportunity came knocking again. This time, Arnold packed his bags for Atlanta and Arnold joined WSB-TV Atlanta. Arnold accumulated many friends throughout his life from fellow musicians to co-workers to golf friends. Arnold was a private person. Arnold was affectionally by colleagues as Grumpy Gus. Arnold was known as a Giant Teddy Bear who was soft spoken with a big caring heart, funny and generous. His family, however, always knew what a good, and loving man Arnold was. Arnold is survived by his mother Edna, his brother Clifford, his sister Deborah, nieces Shannon, Michelle (Bowers), and Iris, nephew Louis Manning III, two grandnephews’ Louis IV, and Lucas Manning. Aunts Kathaline Gayle, Sadie Sinclair and Uncle Edwardo Ferraro and our oldest living relative Evey Danville 95 years young As well of a slew of cousin’s and a great many wonderful friends.
