Ali Bobbit

Ali Bobbit transitioned on Thursday, June 13, 2024. Ali Bobbit was born on December 22, 1955, in Brooklyn, New York to the late Charles Agustus Bobbit Sr and Ruby Mae McKoy. He moved to Atlanta and completed his education by graduating from Gordon High School Class of 1973. Ali was a very hard working man. He worked 20 years for Atlantic Steel, and then went on to work another 21 years, upon retiring, at Delta Air Lines. Ali was the true epitome of a man whom worked hard to provide for his family. Ali’s hard work and dedication of being a provider for his family allowed for a legacy, that is unmatched, to be left behind. In Ali’s spare time he enjoyed bowling, playing cards, fishing, traveling, and manicuring his lawn. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family and close friends. He never met a stranger, and had a personality that easily latched on to others. “He kept me laughing”, is a phrase that is used unanimously amongst those who knew him well. It is an understatement to say that Ali leaves a lifelong of shared memories to be cherished. Ali was his given name, but to know him, then you know he always introduced himself by saying, “My name is Ali, but everybody calls me Buddy”. A “Buddy” he truly was to many. Ali was preceded in death by his devoted wife Cheryl Bobbit., father Charles A. Bobbit Sr., mother Ruby Bobbit, step-mother Ruth Bobbit, brother Charles A. Bobbit Jr., aunts Retha Bobbit, Arleta Graham and Lonice Davis, uncles Porter McKoy (Resea) and Clarence McKoy Sr. (Beatrice), cousin Michael Davis, and a host of relatives and friends. He leaves his memories to be cherished by, his son Ryan Bobbit, daughter Natasha Bobbit, sisters Yasseim Crawford (Stanley), Rochelle Adderley (Clifford), Jaughna Hebl (Todd), Christal Grant (Jordan), Sandra “Candy” Davis, Jessica Bobbit (John), his brothers Tyrone Bobbit (Carleata), Omar Guinier, Stephane Bobbit, and Ronald Pringle, sister-n-laws Jacqueline Woodfin and Jamesena Smith (Arthur), brother–in-laws Michael Woodfin and Roderick “Ricky” Woodfin (Pamela), his nieces Lynn Crawford, Kristen Columbus (David), Naquanda McGill, Lia Adderley, Shamauri Bobbit, Shaun Woodfin, nephews Michael Crawford (Krystal), Antonio Woodfin (Keisha), Ralpheal Woodard, and Randal Harper, cousins Alonzo “Butch” Davis, Hadiyah Bobbitt, Derrick Graham, Charles Graham, Ruby McKoy, Clarence McKoy Jr., and Berryl McKoy, special friends Willie Jordan and Earl Swindell, and host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
