    Zora N. Hull- Rainey

    October 10, 1943 - April 25, 2022

    Mrs. Zora N. Hull Rainey was born October 10,1943 in Taliaferro County, the oldest daughter of the late Blander & Elma H. Hull. During her early years as a small girl, she helped her mother cook, clean, garden, and take care of others. She was a 1962 graduate of Washington Wilkes Comprehensive High School, Washington Ga. Mrs. Zora Rainey was united in Holy Matrimony to the late Joseph Rainey Jr II on September 15, 1966, a union that lasted over 50 years. To this union they bore one son Joseph Rainey Jr III who resides in Buford Ga with his wife C. Michelle Rainey. It was her life’s work to care for others. Early in her career she worked at Grady Hospital in Atlanta Ga, before moving to Cincinnati Oh, where she worked 30+ years in various nursing facilities. She was a faithful member and served as Usher Board President of New Mission Missionary Baptist Church in Cincinnati Oh, for several years. On the evening of Monday April 25, 2022, the lord called her home. She passed away peacefully at Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Braselton Ga. She leaves behind to cherish her memories: Brother Benny Hull (Doris) of Cincinnati Ohio, Sarah Ann Williams (deceased Albert Lloyd) Stockbridge Ga, Leonard Hull (Joyce) Social Circle Ga, deceased sister Billie Kirkland (Atys E. Kirkland) of Augusta Ga, Curtis Hull Lithonia Ga, sister Annette Wilkerson (deceased Oscar) of Decatur Ga, brother Fleming Daniels (Lola) Philomath Ga. Along with grandson Jamal Anthony Rainey, granddaughter Joewanna Jacobs, grandson Darrle Jacobs, great grandsons Joshua Jamal Rainey and Anthony Denver Rainey, a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and other family members.
