Michael Williams Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Michael Williams was born May 29,1954 in Fulton County, Georgia to Mr. Howard Williams and Ms. Margaret Taylor. He was preceded in death by his wife, Brenda Woodard Williams; both parents; two brothers, Mr. Xavier Edward Rosser and Mr. Toney Williams. He leaves to cherish loving memories: three sisters, Ms. Bridget Rosser (brother in-law, Mr. Willie Murry); Ms. Joy Williams; Mrs. Tonya Holts (brother in-law Rev. Mr. Nathaniel Holts); a beloved friend, brother and Caregiver, Mr. Damon Weems; and a host of other family and friends. Michael worked as a steward several years for the Atlanta Marriott Hotel. He enjoyed working and was also employed with Goodwill Industries. Michael moved to the Cosby Spear Highrise in 2016, shortly after the passing of his wife. He got very involved with the Cosby Spear Men & Women of Excellence group as a volunteer assisting in the community by fund raising to help seniors enjoy short day trips; preparing Easter baskets and giving out bookbags for the back to school program. He also volunteered at Butler Street Baptist Church assisting with Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners. Michael was a matter of fact kind of guy and easy going until you crossed him. He enjoyed helping others grocery shop, getting medicines and was known as the Cadillac driver in a power chair. Traveling on Marta with his buddy Damon to the mall to shop, eat, and site see was his favorite pastime. Let us not forget his love for watching Westerns. Michael Williams departed this life on Monday, June 20,2022 and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
