    Michael McClean

    November 4, 1952 - August 29, 2021

Pastor Michael McClean was born on November 4, 1952, at home in Sackville St, Port of Spain, Trinidad, to Geraldine (Pearly) McClean and was the fourth child of 12 siblings. He passed from this life into eternal life on Sunday, August 29, 2021, at his son’s home in Loganville, Georgia, United States. Michael obtained his early education at Richmond St. Boys Anglican School. At the tender age of thirteen (13), he decided to join the workforce to help his loving mother provide for the family. He developed a love for the sea and worked at Shell Oil Co., now known as National Petroleum Marketing Co. Ltd. He worked on their vessels for 30 years. In the 1970s, after attending a crusade with his late mother and witnessing the miraculous healing of a family friend, he started his relationship with God, which grew closer over the years, and he became an active church member. During this time, he became a father and chose to be a devoted dad to his children and all the other honorary children and family members. He was a strict disciplinarian but always found the time to take his kids to the savannah, beach and expose them to a life of opportunities he did not have. In the early 1980’s he moved his family from Laventille to Arima, where he purchased his first home and provided a safe, loving, and welcoming haven to his six children. He taught his children life-long values of treating people the way you want to be treated, never judging, always be willing to help, and more. After retiring from his job in 2009, he decided to go into full-time ministry and focus his life’s passion and work on God. He started Times of Refreshing Ministries, which was founded on the concepts of love and compassion. For the last 12 years, he was dedicated to doing God’s work and focusing on what he was put on this Earth to do, fulfill God’s purpose. He was a dedicated servant of the Lord. Michael McClean is survived by his wife, Pamela McClean, and his children: Alicia Wharwood, Jason McClean, Joel McClean, Kezia McClean, Omri Mcclean, Cordell McClean, and the mother of his children. He also leaves behind his stepchildren Nicole Metoyer, Trumanne Guerin, Sean Ayen, alongside twenty-one (21) grandchildren, ten (10) siblings, and a host of nephews, nieces, family, church families, and friend These services will be recorded and streamed live. In the event the service is interrupted at any time due to technical issues, the entire service will be uploaded and available to view later in the day.
