Dr. Kary Harris Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Reflecting on the Life of… Dr. Kary Epluribus Harris was born to the late Charles and Ruby Harris on January 30, 1958 in Atlanta, Georgia. Kary accepted Christ at an early age, and was called into the ministry. He was later ordained, and pastored for over 30 years. He was a member of the Salem Bible Church under the leadership of Jasper W. Williams Jr. Pastor Emeritus, and Dr Joseph L. Williams. Kary graduated from Avondale High School. Upon graduation he attended the Police Academy, to live out one of his life long dreams of becoming a law enforcement officer. He later furthered his education at the Emmanuel Bible College in order to perfect his ministry. Before retirement, he had a lifelong career of law enforcement and pastoring, of which he truly loved both, and did them for over 30 years. Not only was Kary a fisher of men, but he could out fish anyone on the lake as well. He loved his boys, family, and masonic brothers. He was a Past Master for the Chattahoochee No 31 Lodge. Kary was preceded in death by his parents Charles and Ruby Harris, his brothers Gregory Harris, and Russell Weaver, and sister Ventrice Page. Kary is survived by his sons Kary DeSean and Khristian Deion Harris, the mother of his children Jayme Harris, his grandson King DeSean Harris, and bonus granddaughter Amaya Carless. Sisters Sharon Jackson, Cynthia (Clarence)Porter, and Joyce Adams. His brothers Zachary Matthews, Stoney Harris, and Demetrius Harris. A devoted friend Byron (Samira) Martin. Along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
