In Loving Memory of Karen Jane Shelley Native of Manchester, England October 14, 1976 – February 2, 2026 It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of our beloved sister, aunt, and friend, Karen Jane Shelley. Karen was known for her intelligence, determination, warmth, and gentle humor. She carried a sharp mind, a generous heart, and a lifelong devotion to compassion and justice. Karen grew up in the village of Diggle and moved to America at fifteen, a step that shaped her courage and independence. She earned her B.A., Cum Laude, from the University of Central Florida and her J.D., Cum Laude, from Georgia State College of Law. She built a respected legal career dedicated to recovery, dignity, and second chances. She was preceded in death by her mother, Linda Shelley (1998), and her father, Rodney Shelley (2016). She is survived by her sisters Pamela (Shelley) Leigh and Susan Shelley; her brother-in-law Kevin Leigh; and her beloved niece and nephew, Carys and Kevin, to whom she was a much-loved aunt. Rest gently, Karen. A memorial service to honor Karen's life will be held at Gregory B. Levett and Sons Funeral Home - Rockdale Location in Conyers, GA, on Friday, February 6, 2026, at 3:00 PM. Family and friends are invited to gather to celebrate her life and share in the cherished memories she leaves behind. Please express your condolence here on our website.
