Mr. Jean-Eddy Badio of Longueuil, Quebec departed this earthly life on May 29, 2022 at Hospital Charles Lemoine in Longueuil. Celebration of Life Services **LIVE STREAM** will be held on Saturday, June 18, 2022 at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 801 Tom Smith Rd SW, Lilburn, GA 30047, with Rev Carl Jean officiating. Obituary Jean-Eddy (Eddy) was born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti on August 5, 1955 to Maurice Sr. and Hersulia Badio. After graduating from school, Eddy became a professional soccer player. He began playing with Excelsoir Football Club in Port-au-Prince and then transferred to Equipe U17 in Canada. Eddy was ecstatic about being a professional soccer player and was very happy that his lifelong dream came true. Eddy dedicated his time to learn the craft playing soccer for a living. So, Brother Eddy used his gift as a soccer player to make friends and connect with people on a deeper level all over the world. Throughout his professional career and later in life, Eddy split his time shuttling between Canada and Haiti as he thoroughly enjoyed spending time in his country of birth and in Longueuil, the place he called home after he became a naturalized citizen of Canada. His other hobbies and interests included spending time with family, chatting and texting regularly with nieces and nephews, and playing card games with family and friends. Mr. Jean-Eddy Badio is survived by his son, Sandro; his sisters, Margarette, Chantal, and Sandra Luc; his brothers Pierre-Louis, Jean-Robert, Maurice Jr., Gary Merzier, their children and their spouses as well as many nephews, nieces and cousins. He also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss him. May his soul rest in perfect peace. Celebration of Life Services for Eddy Badio will be held on Saturday, June 18, 2022 at 1:00PM. These services will be recorded and streamed live.
