Janie Louise Walker

Janie Louise Walker was born in Anderson, Indiana on June 3, 1957 to James and Fannie Menifee. Janie was a spirited God-fearing loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, friend and more to all who knew and loved her. She retired from General Motors after 30 years of service and was living the retired life she loved with her husband, Ronald, traveling to see family and new sights along the way. She proudly served as a Deaconess at Salem Missionary Baptist Church. She had a heart for giving and spreading the love of Christ, whether leaving a note of love on a tip at a restaurant with her infamous “resurrection pen” as her family jokingly called it or being of service to someone in need, Janie wanted to be of service. Preceding in death, her father, James H. Menifee. Janie is survived by her mother, Fannie Louise Menifee, her loving and devoted husband, Ronald Walker, her three children: LaKeysha Harris, Kimberly Walker and Gary Walker, her three grandsons: Christopher Griffin, D’andre Walker and Jaylon Westbrooks, her siblings: Garnetta Armstrong (Larry), Patricia Warrior (Evans), James Menifee (Felisa), Debra Cox and Jeffrey Menifee and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
