Jalen Travon Ector
March 19, 1995 - February 15, 2022
Jalen Travon Ector was born on March 19, 1995 to John Ector Jr. and Na Tasha Terrell. Jalen attended Thurgood Elementary, Chapel Hill Middle School and Southwest DeKalb HS. At the age of 19, Jalen gave his life to Christ and joined The House of Hope in March of 2014. When Jalen discovered his voice at a very early age, he seemed to have never lost it. He truly had “the gift of gab”, and he never met a stranger. He was loved by every person that came into his life, even if for just a short moment. Jalen definitely lived ‘HIS’ life, and he enjoyed every single minute of it. His laugh was contagious, and he was a joy to be around. He was affectionately known as “the life of the party” and to know him is to love him unconditionally. Sugar and spice surely embodied his unique personality as it was always a pleasure to be in his presence. A Man of God, a true and fierce protector of his mother, his sisters and Mamie Jean was his proud task and he truly understood the assignment. Jalen leaves to cherish his memories his mother Na Tasha Terrell (Dwayne), his father John Ector, Jr., his sisters Morgan Ector, Makayla Dixon, Jenea Ector, and Joi Ector. Grandmothers Mamie-Jean Thomas, Evon Ector, and Sheridian Ector. Grandfather Charles Holmes, and a host of loving Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and Friend
