Ellen Elaine Watson Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Ellen Elaine Watson was born in Springfield, Ohio on May 31, 1953. She is a graduate of South High School. She was married to Hugo Watson Jr. for 36 years. Sometimes described as small but mighty, she was known to family and friends as Elaine, Laney, Aunt Elaine, or Momma. She worked tirelessly for the family business for many years, caring for loved ones of Springfield families in nursing and boarding homes, which were owned by her mother. Elaine is preceded in death by her loving husband, Hugo Watson Jr.; her parents, John C. Caldwell Sr. and Robbie Lee Moore, and stepfather William “Mack” Moore. Elaine is preceded in death by her father and mother-in-law, Hugo Watson Sr. and Ozella Watson. She is preceded in death by her grandmother Tenoia Johnson. She is also preceded in death by her brothers, Robert Caldwell, John C. Caldwell Jr., brothers-in-law Jessie Watson and Lavell “Brother” Watson, sisters-in-law Fannie Brown [Ike] and Ozell “Rabbit” Wade and grandchild, Shundra Adkison. Elaine is survived by her aunts, Marilyn Warren and Joan McClendon, sister June Cole, brother William “Billy” Caldwell, sisters-in-law Mary Ann Wilhite [Charlie] and Catherine “Cat” Fields. Her sisters and brothers of the Moore family held a very special place in her heart. Elaine is survived by her loving children, Tracy Adkison [Eric], Shaneeka Watson [Darris], Dionne Watson, and Starletta Watson. Elaine adored her beautiful grandchildren, Aaron, Aracianna, Adasia, Antonia, Quinton, Shae, Brandon, and Kennedy; God-given grandsons Montece and Dennis; great-grandsons Kaiza and Brailen. She loved and adored the family dogs very much, Dallas and Zeke Adkison, Gianna Watson, and Snoopy Perry. She had a host of other relatives and special friends who she loved dearly. In lieu of flowers, donations can be given to the Alzheimer's Foundation in her name. The family of Ellen Elaine Watson wishes to thank Gregory B.
