Christina Lanise Holley

Christina Lanise Holley, 55, of Ellenwood, GA Obituary Evangelist Christina Lanise Holley was born December 26th, 1966 in Plains GA, the youngest of fourteen (14) children. She was the daughter of the late Mr. Dock Holley and late Mrs. Thelma L. Holley. As a child, she was raised in the foundation of the A.M.E. church, which led her to receive Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior along with the call to minister the word of God. After many life challenges, she finally accepted God’s call on her life and was ordained and licensed to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ in 1996. Her ministry began at The Cornerstone of the Living Faith in Atlanta, GA. Under the direction of the Holy Spirit, Christina traveled to different cities and locally in metro Atlanta, GA. proclaiming the word of God. She ministered on street corners and walked through neighborhoods distributing “A Gift for You” package that included informational tracts about salvation and deliverance through Jesus Christ and a candy treat. This birthed The Tabernacle of the Congregation Traveling Tent Revival. She also served at Solomon’s Porch Ministries as chair of the Membership services Department and Saint Phillip AME Church Children’s ministry teacher. She graduated from Tri-County High School in 1984 and earned a B.S. degree in Architectural Engineering from Southern Polytechnic State University. She also continued education at Luther Rice Seminary and University. Professionally she served in numerous fields, most recently serving Henry County Board of Education as an Architectural drafting and design teacher. Christina has three anointed children she loved dearly, Joshua, Amber, and Josiah. She loved to sing praises and read the word of God. She also loved muscle cars, drawing and traveling. In 2005, Christina was diagnosed with breast cancer while pregnant with her third child, Josiah. Christina relied on her faith in God, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit, along with the prayers of the righteous to bring her through. In honor of God’s healing and deliverance, it was Christina’s desire to share the love of Jesus Christ, the awesome power of prayer and the healing power of Jesus Christ through the anointing of the Holy Spirit to others. She was the founder of House of Praise Enterprises (HOPE), The Celebration of Life- (COL) Family and Friends Appreciation and the co-founder of Sisterhood- Choices and Changes. Christina Lanise Holley transitioned home June 19th, 2022 in Decatur, GA. She is preceded in death by her brother Michael A. Holley, brother-in-law Leroy Price, and two sisters Nina H. Walters and Thelma Holley. She loved them all deeply. Christina L. Holley leaves to carry her legacy two sons, Joshua Lamar Holley, Ellenwood GA, Josiah Asaph Holley, Ellenwood GA, one daughter Amber (Calvin) Javae Chennault, Sandy Springs, GA; three grandchildren, Cameron J. Chennault, Camille J. Chennault, and Nyla M. Holley; four sisters, Mrs. Carolyn(Cooper) Roberts, Leslie, GA; Mrs. Velma Price, Decatur, GA; Ms. Gwendolyn Holley, Ellenwood, GA; Mrs. Bernice (Isaiah, Sr.) Thomas, Decatur, GA; four brothers, Mr. Norris(Lillie) Holley, Huntsville, AL; Minister Harry(Karen) E. Holley, Sr Conley, GA, Mr. Elijah (Mary) Holley, Hephizabah, GA, Mr. James C. Holley, Tucker, GA; three sister-in-laws, two brother-in-laws, and one son-in-law, a multitude of special nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and dear friends, all whom she loved dearly.
