Brigitte Elaine Gilchrist

February 8, 1962 - February 14, 2022

Brigitte Elaine Caldwell Gilchrist was born February 8, 1962 to the Late Randall Evans and Ruth Elizabeth Caldwell Kenley. She was raised by her Stepfather, The Late Thurman Lee Kenley, Sr. She was born in Columbia, South Carolina and was educated in the Richland County Public School system graduated from Dreher High School, The Blue Devils. She was employed gainfully all her working age years. She sold insurance for Primerica Insurance Company and her last employment found her driving for Uber and Lyft. She was a people person and never met a stranger, so this suited her perfectly. She was affectionally known as “Slim” by her stepfather and her brother Pee Wee just called her “gal”. She didn’t mind either name. Brigitte is preceded in death by her father, mother, stepfather, a sister, 2 brothers and her beautiful baby girl named, Tameka Nicole Gilchrist. Brigitte leaves behind to cherish her memories, the love her of her life, her only son, Christopher (Kionna) Trayon “Tray” Gilchrist, a grandson, Christopher Gilchrist, both of Lawrenceville, GA, her brother, Barry Kenley, Sr., her sisters: Julia Anderson, Sandra (Danny) Thompson, Jr., Edna “Peanut” Rumph and Sonia Thomas, all of Columbia, South Carolina. Her aunts: Amanda (Larry) Tucker and Evelyn Caldwell, of Columbia, SC. Her beloved Uncle Louis (Delores) Caldwell of Hyattsville, MD and her uncle Major Leo Hinnant of Lexington, SC. And many nephews, nieces, cousins and friends who loved her dearly.
