Bahiru H. Kifle

Bahiru Kifle, 37, has tragically left us on February 12, 2024. A devoted father and husband, loved brother and son, and proud uncle. Bahiru was born on May 24, 1986 to his late parents Tsige and Dawet in Addis Abebe, Ethiopia. He later traveled to Atlanta, Ga and met his siblings for the first time, John and Paradise, at the age of 9. Bahiru attended Mary Lin Elementary, Avondale Middle, then graduated from Tallulah Falls High, later attending East Carolina College to play basketball. Bahiru met his lovely wife Alicia Kifle in July of 2012 and they got married on October 10, 2015. Bahiru married the love of his life, Alicia Kifle, accepted their son Joshua, who he called Champ. Later to have 2 beautiful girls, Ember and Wrynn, ages 7 and 1. Bahiru was a devoted and active father and husband. Always wanted the best for his girls. He enjoyed spending time with his family. Bahiru was a proud girl dad. He went above and beyond for his girls. Enrolled Ember in dance, jazz and ballet. Bahiru extended his skills to assist Joshua in basketball growing up and keeping him focused in school as he graduated from WestLake High. He made the effort to keep his family happy and proud. Bahiru embraced Alicia’s family as they loved and embraced him into their family. Bahiru and Alicia spent 12 lovely years together. They first met at work and Bahiru insisted on pursuing Alicia. Bahiru took Alicia out for dinner and they talked all night to the point they were politely asked to leave since the establishment was closing. They continued to date for about three months before Bahiru nervously asked Alicia to be his girlfriend. Later in their relationship, Bahiru asked Alicia what she wants in a man, her response was “I want someone to love me the same way Christ loves the Church”. From there, they grew their relationship on the foundation of the love of Jesus Christ. They devoted their life to their children. Bahiru was proud to be Ethiopian. Prior to coming to America, he grew up in Addis surrounded by his family. He brought the music, food, and culture with him to America. He made sure to keep his culture to his heart, he spoke to his children in Amharic and even taught Alicia some words and songs. Bahiru made sure to incorporate his culture with raising their children. Alicia happily embraced Ethiopian culture and they made sure to incorporate the traditions and culture into their family. Bahiru Kifle leaves behind his lovely wife Alicia, his three children, Joshua, Ember, and Wrynn, and his loving siblings John and Paradise and many family and friends.
