Mr. Anthony A. Green

Anthony A. Green 39, of Franklin Square, New York passed away on July 20, 2023. He was known to many as "Poppy" or "Green". Anthony was born to Antonia Lyons and Winston Green on March 2, 1984. Anthony was born and raised in New York and represented the great state every chance he had. He was always known to rock a New York Buffalo Bills or New York Yankees hat or jersey. He moved to Georgia to be a support system for his family. As a young man Anthony attended H. Frank Carey High School where found his love all things sports. He played QB, RB, CB and Safety for the Carey Seahawks Football team. Anthony had a true love for football and baseball. He enjoyed watching games and having passionate discussions about what teams will make it to the Super Bowl or World Series. Anthony had a passion for his friends and family which he showed in his everyday life. He loved and was loved by all his brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, mother and father. He enjoyed teaching his nieces and nephews about fantasy, football and sports. He loved movies and TV shows from his childhood which he often quoted. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Mrs. Doubtfire and Matilda made impressions, shaping his love and view on family and friendship. His heart belonged to his family; he never missed a birthday, graduation, holiday, life event or major milestone. Picture Collage in the Middle Anthony was full of life and love. He was kind and compassionate. He delighted in the simple joys of life. We hold comfort in John 14: 1-3 “Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me. My father's house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also maybe where I am. “We hold this true in our hearts and rest assured in knowing we will see him again. He was survived by his Father Winston Sr and his Wife Laura; Brother Winston Jr, Sisters Nicole and Pamela, Nieces and Nephews Savannah, Joseph Anthony, Tristan, Zara, Zane and Ziva. Anthony was proceeded in death by his Mother Antonia and his Niece Olivia.
