Andanae’ De’Shawn Gates, affectionately known as Nae’ was born on April 5, 1992, in Atlanta, Georgia to the parents of LaChaele Gates Joyner and James Jordan Jr. Raised with siblings, Nae’ was a happy and affectionate child who was raised and influenced by her dad, Kojo and Nicholas Jordan who is affectionately known as Daddy Uncle Nick. Her greatest joy was becoming a mom to her daughter, Amiya Brielle Cunningham. Nae’ was a loving and attentive mother who absolutely adored her “twin”, as they were often seen dressed alike. Accepting Jesus Christ in her life at an early age, she was a member of New Mercies Christian Church in Lilburn, GA where she was baptized, participated in summer camps, and a member of the Step Team Ministry. Nae’ attended school in Gwinnett County, graduating from South Gwinnett High School in 2011. After graduation, Andanae’ pursued her desire and earned her certification in cosmetology from Georgia Career Institute. In addition to her love for hair, she worked in customer service at AT&T, RadioShack, and most recently, Asurion. A kid at heart, Nae’ adored Mickey Mouse and loved all things “bling”, often adding her own creative touch to her shoes and phone cases. Andanae’ was particular about her appearance, especially her hair. She was a certified “sneakerhead”; and enjoyed shopping at her spot, TJ Maxx. When we think of Nae’, we think of her loving, supportive, well-liked, funny, and outgoing spirit. She was a beacon of light that touched many lives and was always there for her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her grandfathers: James Jordan Sr.; Michael Dicks, and grandmother: Debbie Williams. On May 16, 2022, the Lord welcomed His daughter home. Andanae’ leaves cherished memories to her only daughter, Amiya Brielle Cunningham; her loving mother, LaChaele Joyner; fathers, N.
