Deaconess Vivian Strickland

Vivian Ann Strickland was born December 12, 1938, to loving parents, the late Ira Stewart and Annie C. McDonald in Ellaville, Georgia. The angels escorted her home on Saturday morning December 9, 2023. Vivian nourished people around her with love, faith and generosity. She was always willing to help you anyway she could. She was married to Eddie B. Strickland for over fifty years. It was after their marriage that she joined Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church. She served faithfully as a Deaconess and member until her health started to decline. Vivian was proceeded in death by her parents Ira P. Stewart and Annie Clifford Aldridge, siblings Isaac Stewart, Beatrice Stewart, Raymond Stewart, Eddie Stewart and Joyce Jackson and beloved aunt Lillie Jean Peeples. She leaves to cherish beautiful memories and to celebrate her life, husband Eddie B., children Roger Taylor, Linda Taylor, Yolanda Manning (Alex), Bruce Strickland (Leslie), Jodie Middlebrooks: grandchildren Ricky Taylor, Jasmine Taylor, Chandra Conley, Fatima Taylor, Tiffany Strickland, Aundre Fletcher, seven great grandchildren; Ricardo Lachaunte, Lawrence, Jacquez, Jalen, Zacariah, Raven; three great-great grandchildren; Royalty, Loyal and I’yllauni. Siblings - Lovie Owens (Marcellars) Ellaville, GA, Harold Stewart (Sharon), Miami, FL, Linda Stewart, Miramar, FL, Elbert Stewart (Jacqueline) Coral Springs, FL, Gerald Stewart (Herlande) Dania FL. Adopted children- Mindy Ward (John), Jodi Fleisher, Scott Fleisher, Ethan Isaiah Reisman, Jacob Lev Reisman and Zachary Shai Reisman, Tiffany Powell, Pamela Dawson, Stacey Johnson. Sisters in Law, Betty Callis, Annette Bigsby, Ovella Jackson, Patsy Lisvey, Jackie Peters, Natalie Perry, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Celebration of Life Service will be held on MONDAY, December 18, 2023 at 11:00AM at Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church 182 Hunter Street Norcross, GA 30071, Senior Pastor, Dr. William L. Sheals.
