On December 28,1984, the late Billy Ray Hardnett and Roxanne Scott-Williams gave birth to their baby girl,Tangela Sharee Hardnett, affectionately known as “Tan” to her friends and loved ones in Atlanta, GA. Tan came to know the Lord and received Christ at an early age. She became a member at Mt. Patmos Baptist Church and joined the choir. She received her education in the Dekalb County School System attending Peachcrest Elementary and Towers High School where she explored her love for basketball. To know Tan was to understand she was a sneakerhead, a baller and would challenge anyone on the court. Through her life, Tangela was a hard worker in the food and service industry. She was dedicated to creating memorable experiences, climbing the ladder efficiently and securing management positions within popular food chains around the Metro Atlanta area. Tan had a love for culinary arts. She often spoke about opening a food truck business. Also, if you’ve ever tasted her famous wings or crab legs, then you know her food brought joy to your soul after a long day. Tangela was so full of life, love and fun. She didn’t just offer an experience, she was the experience that left a lasting impact on everyone she met. On January 31, 2018 Tangela gave birth to the love of her life, Journei’Simone. To watch her become a mother was a joy to witness. Tan was a loving mother who enjoyed spending quality time with Journei making videos, taking her to feed the ducks, playing games, and teaching her to ride her bike in the neighborhood. She even set-up Journei’s first lemonade stand. Soon after, Tan married Racina Cameron on September 19, 2018. It was love at first sight, gaining the sweetest bonus daughter Muneerah “Mu-Mu”. Tan, Racina, Journei, and “Mu-Mu” started building a life as a family. Unfortunately, on January 8, 2023 Tan was tragically taken from this world never getting to finish her story. She leaves to cherish her beautiful daughter Journei’Simone Daviel Hardnett whom she loves more than anything, her wife Racina Cameron-Hardnett and bonus daughter Muneerah “Mu- Mu'' Cameron, her mother Roxanne Scott Williams (James “dad”), sister Rachelle Hardnett Jones (Jerome), siblings Billy Ray, Karen, Yolonda, Janava, and Tyson. Grandfather, David Scott Jr., nephew, Jerome Jones III, aunts Jacqueline Sheats (Kenneth) Melaine Kent (Aaron) Kisha Napier (Aaron), a host of other aunts, uncles, cousins, classmates, close friends and special friends Donisha, Keshawn, Brandi, and Samantha. She was preceded in death by her father Billy Ray Hardnett, brother Toris “Toot” Johnson, grandmother Mae Lee and beloved granny, Essie Mae Scott.
