In Loving Memory of Elder Dr. Shelly D. Boone II March 4, 1959 – July 15, 2026 A Legacy of Faith, Service, and Devotion Elder Dr. Shelly D. Boone II, aged 67, of Stonecrest, Georgia, peacefully entered his eternal rest on July 15, 2026, following an extended illness. Even during his illness, his resolute faith stood as a powerful testimony to his family and friends, beautifully reflecting a lifetime anchored in his steadfast belief in Jesus Christ. Dr. Boone was a man of unwavering faith, compassion, and humility—a true servant-leader who spent his life answering God's call to love, preach, and serve. Early Life and Service to Country Dr. Boone was born on March 4, 1959, in Jackson, Tennessee. He grew up attending the Jackson public school system and proudly graduated from Jackson Central Merry High School, Class of 1977. Answering the noble call to serve his country, Dr. Boone enlisted in the United States Navy, where he faithfully served for six years. Following his honorable military service, he pursued higher education at Tennessee State University in Nashville, Tennessee, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice. A Life Ordained for Ministry His true passion was found in ministry and biblical education. Driven by a deep desire to handle the Word of Truth with excellence, he attended the International Apostolic University of Grace and Truth in Columbus, Ohio. There, he earned both a Master of Theology and a Doctor of Divinity degree with honors. As a devoted Christian, minister, and pastor, Dr. Boone was the Founder and Visionary of SD Boone Outreach Ministries. He also served as the Co-Founder and Senior Pastor of Word of Life Ministry, operating under the spiritual covering of New Life International Prophetic Outreach Ministries, led by Prophetess Dr. Mary L. Parker and Bishop Charlie. His life was a breathing reflection of his favorite Scripture: “For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword…” (Hebrews 4:12) Shining Light in the Darkness Dr. Boone’s ministry extended far beyond the traditional church walls. Guided by the Holy Spirit, he dedicated his life to bringing hope to the hopeless, food to the hungry, and clothing to those in need. For sixteen consecutive years, every single Friday evening at 8:00 p.m., Dr. Boone could be found ministering and feeding the unhoused on the streets of downtown Atlanta, Georgia, at the corner of Peachtree and Trinity Streets. Through this street ministry, the Word of Life Ministry Food Pantry, and countless outreach initiatives, he shone the light of Christ into places often overshadowed by darkness. A Dedicated Family Man While he was a shepherd to many, Dr. Boone’s first and most cherished ministry was his family. He was united in holy matrimony to his beloved wife, Dr. Jacqueline M. Boone. Together, they built a beautiful, loving family and shared a lifetime entirely devoted to God, ministry, and community service. He was a dedicated father, a proud grandfather, and a bedrock of strength for his siblings and extended family. Farrow (Deacon James Wayne) His Co-grandparents: Beverly & Ken Williams His Extended Community: A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, church family, dear friends, and countless spiritual sons and daughters whose lives were forever transformed through his ministry. Though his earthly assignment has ended, Elder Dr. Shelly D. Boone II lived a life completely poured out for God and humanity. His legacy of faith will continue to echo throughout generations.
