Sheila Harrison Winful

On April 20, 1947 at 6:47 a.m., in Windsor, Ontario, Canada, Bishop Arthur and Sylvia Harrison gave birth to their 11th child whom they named Sheila Yvonne.After completing her high school education in Windsor, Sheila went on to earn her Bachelors Degree in Business Administration from Madonna College in Detroit, Michigan. She was employed for 20 years at the Inkster Board of Education. She married and had two children Sheillon and Rod Lumpkin, II.In 1986, Sheila moved to Atlanta Georgia where she worked for 15 years as a Regional Supervisor for Sprint. After retiring from Sprint, Sheila used her administrative skills as facilitator for the Gwinnett Juvenile Court Programs and to help develop a charter school in Atlanta. Sheila loved God and was a faithful and active church member. For the past six years she was a member of Dayspring International Worship Center in Stone Mountain, GA, where she served as Chief Financial Officer. Whenever the doors of the church opened, she was there; both on Sundays and on weekdays. One of her most honored and cherished church responsibilities was as the coordinator for her pastors’ church anniversaries. Her husband of 22 years, George Kwaw-Badu Winful was patient, understanding and accommodating to her church involvement”. Sheila was devoted to her husband, her children, her siblings and her extended family. Her vivacious sense of humor contributed to fun times at family gatherings. Sheila‘s ability to make people relax and have fun was contagious. Regardless of her personal circumstances, she always maintained a sense of humor and playfulness.On July 30, 2022, after a brief illness, Sheila was called home to be with our Lord. She was predeceased by her parents and five siblings. Sheila “affectionately known as “SheShe”, will be greatly missed by her dearly beloved husband George Kwaw Badu-Winful; her children Sheillon Sims (James), Rod Lumpkin II (Jacquelyne), and (step son) Joel Winful (Terilyn), seven grandchildren, Jousel, Iman, Jalen, Elise, Chandler, Mallory and Megan, great granddaughter Angelina, godchildren Leslie and Addisu, ten siblings, Sarah Sheillon, Arthur (Jacci), Sylvia (Roger), Florence, Barbara, Shmaya, Reta, Victoria and Mozelle, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, friends and loving church families. “
