Rosa Mae Chamblee

Our beloved mother, Rosa Mae Chamblee, entered God's Kingdom on Tuesday, December 17, 2024, after an extended fight with heart issues. Mother Rosa Chamblee was born to Perry Grogan and Ethel Scott on April 28, 1947, in Duluth, Georgia. She attended Norcross and Duluth Elementary Schools and Lawrenceville High School. Rosa took adult continuing education classes while raising her family. When Rosa was younger, she enjoyed playing basketball, running track, and dancing. As an adult Rosa still enjoyed playing and watching basketball. She absolutely loved watching her Atlanta Braves. Traveling to see new things and places was a passion of hers. But her most favorite activity was going to her kids and grandkids sporting events and letting the entire world know "THAT'S MY BABE". While raised in Norcross GA, she lived most of her adult life in Atlanta, Ga. This is where she raised her four children. She was never afraid of working hard to provide for her family. At times she worked up to four jobs at once. She always ensured there was food on the table, a roof over their heads, lights and heat were on, and that they lived in a safe neighborhood. Rosa worked many jobs for many different companies. Some notable ones were Lord's of London, Master Rack, and Morehouse School of Medicine. By far she was the proudest of her time with Morehouse School of Medicine. Unless she was decked out for church on Sunday, she always had on some attire with Morehouse on it. Rosa would tell you her greatest accomplishment was raising four children that all grew into upstanding, God-fearing people. Another accomplishment of Rosa was the thousands of lives she touched during her time here on earth. She was ALWAYS doing for others. If someone was in need, she was there. Sometimes she was there before you knew you needed her. But more than all of this, Rosa was a child of God. She was never afraid to share with others her faith and about her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She served in many roles at church. She could be found almost every Sunday morning singing worship songs to the Father. She was an active member of Restoration Through Christ Worship Center and active in her community. Rosa joins Pastor TC Chamblee, husband, Adrienne Potts, her daughter, as well as Perry Grogan and Ethel Scott, her maternal parents in Heaven. She is survived by many loving family members, including her: sons, Perry Tribble (Terry) and children-Perry Jr., Dorthy Renee-Nicole, her son Javian, Andrew (Meghan) and children-Emory, Axel, Madeline, and Alexander; Jason Tribble (Jeamia) and children-Kristonia, Matthew, Tierra, and Tiffany, grandchildren Nathaniel, Antwon, MaKenzie, Alyssa, and Bella; and her twin; Aaron Potts (Dawn) and children- Bailey, Caleb, and Autumn; grandsons, Deonte Batiste, Alvin Harris Jr; adopted daughter Sonja Davis (Johnny); and sibling, James Tinch, Companion Joseph Beavers and a host of family and friends. -John 16:22 Therefore, you now have sorrow; but I will see you again and your heart will rejoice, and your joy no one will take from you. Rosa M. Chamblee, of Duluth, GA passed on Tuesday, December 17, 2024. Celebration of Life Services will be held on Saturday, December 28, 2024 11:00 AM at Mountain West Church 4818 Hugh Howell Road, Stone Mountain, GA 30087. Interment will be held at Melwood Cemetery 5170 E. Ponce de Leon Ave., Stone Mountain, GA 30083. Services entrusted to Gregory B. Levett & Sons Funeral Home, Gwinnett Chapel, 914 Scenic Hwy Lawrenceville, GA 30045.
