Mr. Ronald Yates

Ronald Yates was born on September 28th, 1958, in Brooklyn, NY to Rev Calvin and First Lady Mary Yates and passed away on April 1st, 2023, at the age of 64. Ron grew up in Jamaica Queens, New York, where he spent his time as a typical adolescent playing football and basketball. He joined his family each week in church activities such as the church choir and was an amazing musician on the organ and drums. Ron would later become an amazing electrician following in the footsteps of his father. He himself was also a great father and mentor to those he also passed this valuable knowledge onto. Ron moved to Georgia in 1997, continuing his career and expanding his passion for ministry. His love for others evolved into Two Fish and Five Loaves Ministry where he spent his time providing food and clothing to the homeless in the city of Atlanta and was recognized by the city for doing so. He served in many functions of ministry such as co-pastor, elder, minister, and musician. His exceptional sense of humor is something everyone remembers and adores about Ron. He had a way to make you laugh even while you may feel like crying. He was also an amazing cook as he had an eclectic pallet. His vast suit collection did not discriminate against color, as he had a great way to make any color suit look as good as his bold personality. Ron and Barbara would have celebrated 25 years of marriage this coming August. He loved to serenade his wife with a song no matter where he was just to see her smile. He absolutely loved all of his children and truly adored all of his grandchildren. Ronald was predeceased in death by his father Rev Calvin Yates and his mother First Lady Mary Yates. He is survived by his loving wife Barbara; his children Monique, Geneva & Chris, Ronald, Ron, Myles & Angelita; his grandchildren Dayquan, Elijah, Saquann, Kareem, Tears; Chris, Kayla; Hudson; Samara, Janessa, Caliana; Myles Jr, Zane, Aiden, Grayson, and Pearson; his great-grandchildren Sair, Emily, and Ma’at. His siblings; Terrance, Deloris & Ernest, and Sophia & Randy. As well as a host of beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends. .
