Rochelle Pace

Rochelle “Shelle” Pace was born on June 4, 1956 through the union of Delana Pearl Pace and James Henry Pace Sr., in Atlanta, Georgia. She lived out her life in the Greater Metro Atlanta area where she received her education, built her career, established businesses, and nurtured her love for the culinary arts and early childhood development. Early on as a career woman, Rochelle received the call to care for children when a family member was in need. After babysitting for a week, Rochelle knew she could turn this family favor into a passion-filled business venture. Rochelle went on to provide daycare services for family members, and then to friends and others in need of her services. Out of her living room, sprung the full-fledged Bibleway Christian Academy servicing families across the city for over 30 years. While nurturing the youth, Rochelle found the space to express her love of cooking by birthing her own catering business. Weddings, baby showers, graduation parties and repasses had her touch of love with her delicious dishes and decor at the center of the event. To give back further, Rochelle would teach food service classes to aspiring caters and cooks which she loved to do immensely. Aside from her entrepreneurial nature was her long-standing love of music. Shelle had an amazing collection and an ear for music ranging from Jazz to R&B and Gospel. She would share her appreciation of music with the people she loved just as she did with her Godgiven gifts. Over the years, all of Rochelle's gifts and passions defined her and helped mold her into a helper, a mother-figure, encourager, and confidante to those around her inspiring her latest contribution as “The Encourager” through morning inspiration posts. Safe in His Grace (SIHG) digital devotional allowed Rochelle to remain connected to her source and spread the Gospel by sharing her inspirational commentary of the scriptures: “A personal mission for Christ - 2 Corinthians 5:20 Now then we are ambassadors for Christ… LIFE LESSON: As ambassadors for Christ, every Christian believer has a personal mission. We no longer live for ourselves, but for Christ. God makes His appeal through us, and we speak for Christ when we plead: come back to God; honor your creator; accept Christ as your Savior; live and demonstrate truth and serve others.” (SIHG, May 2017) As a woman of faith, Rochelle wished to have a celebration of her life in Christ. Celebrate what she stood for in Christ and that is to live by faith. Her daily inspirations encouraged us to cast all of our cares on him and trust him in every crisis. She would love to be remembered with loving, inspirational stories and music that celebrate what was good and blessed in her life. Rochelle leaves to cherish her memories with her siblings, Minister James Pace (Cynthia), Anthony Pace, Helane Pace, Ann Dorsey (Dwight), Debbie Henderson, sister in love, Linda Pace (the late Larry Pace Sr.) and a host of loving nieces, nephews, adopted children, former daycare students, family and friends.
