Obituary honoring the life and legacy of Robert Glover, Jr. Sunrise January 17, 1940 Sunset June 24, 2025 Robert Glover, Jr., a beloved father, uncle, friend and dedicated public servant transitioned from this life June 24, 2025. Born to the late Robert Glover, Sr. and Ethel Mae Glover on January 17, 1940, he lived a remarkable life of strength, resilience, and curiosity of God’s creation. Robert was adventurous; an avid traveler and found joy in visiting Asia, Greece, Alaska, and many other places enhancing his deep appreciation and respect for other cultures and the world around him. Robert began his professional journey as a public servant in Animal Control, later transitioning into the Security Division where he offered 30 years of diligent service in Fulton County. Simultaneously, he was employed with the Marriott Corporation for 20 years demonstrating his strong work ethic, perseverance, and ability to multitask. The father of 4 sons, Robert III, Barron, Roderick, and Robin, Robert Jr. led by stern, loving example and was intentional in showing his love for God, respect for humanity, and a tireless work ethic. Robert Jr. was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Glover, Sr. and Ethel Mae Glover, his sisters, Annie Lee Heard, Ola Mae Clark, and Christine Glover, brothers, Walter Clark, Robert Clark, Stanford Glover, and his beloved son, Robin Glover. He leaves to cherish his memory and legacy his siblings, Earnestine Elliot, Alethia Glover, LaTonya Martin, Frederick Glover and Rodrick Glover in addition to the host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, nephews, friends, and community deeply impacted by his presence, strength, and priceless examples of God-led service in this life. Robert Glover, Jr. lived well, served selflessly, and celebrated a multitude of triumphs. His transition from this life challenges us all to remember the standard, blessings, and lessons he shared with all who knew him. Funeral services will be held at Greater Elizabeth Missionary Baptist Church, 4555 Campbelton Rd. SW, Atlanta GA 30331 on 7/8/25 @11 am; Repaa to follow at the same location. Viewing will be 7/7/25 at Gregory B. Lovett and Sons located at Rainbow Park Baptist Church 2941 Columbia Dr. Decatur, GA 30034 from 4pm to 8pm.
