Mrs. Rita Spring Frazier

“I have fought the good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith.” II Timothy 4:7 Rita Spring Frazier (Hobbs) entered the world on May 18th, 1952, in Cook County, Illinois, the daughter of Madlyn Green. She went home to be with the Lord on June 4, 2026, at the age of 74, in Lithonia, Georgia, surrounded by her family. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Rita spent much of her early years in Chicago, Illinois; Nanuet, New York; and Hawkins and Big Sandy, Texas, where she enjoyed living with her “Granny Pearl” until she flew the coop to Pasadena, California. While in Pasadena, it wasn’t long before she met Franklin Frazier of Givhans, South Carolina, at her job at Ambassador College Press. The two were married in Glendale, California, on February 18, 1973, and settled in the adjacent town of Altadena, California, until 1991. In 1991, the family moved from California and spent several years on the Southeastern coast of the United States. One of her many dreams, in addition to being a wife, was to be a mother and live a life of purpose and integrity before the Lord. She was blessed with three beautiful children: one daughter and two sons. The family were members of the Worldwide Church of God in Pasadena, California, and beyond until the year 2000. In addition to being a wonderful homemaker, Rita had a big heart for children. She loved caring not only for her own, but also for the children of others. She spent several years as a childcare teacher in Atlanta, Georgia. She loved to travel, see new places, and try new foods. She enjoyed watching murder mysteries, music reaction videos, home & garden shows, and anything to do with national and international train travel. Rita was incredibly warm, funny, kind, wise, full of faith in Jesus Christ, and a steadfast and loving friend. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Lawrence and Milton Hobbs and Jimmy Green, and her sister, Carla Green. She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Franklin Frazier; her three children: daughter Crystal Frazier, and sons, Christopher and Brian Frazier (Brittany); and her grandchildren, Braylon and Bryce Frazier. She is also survived by her sister, Esther Green Miles (Darron), as well as a beautiful host of nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, and friends. She will be dearly missed.
