Mr. Rex Ellis Jeffries

Mr. Rex Ellis Jeffries, 65, passed away on March 26, 2025, in Braselton, Georgia. Born on June 4, 1959, in East Patchogue, New York, Rex lived a life marked by dedication to country, work, and family. Rex attended Central Islip High School before proudly serving in the United States Army from 1979 to 1984. His military service laid the foundation for a life defined by discipline and service. Following his time in the Army, Rex embarked on a successful career as a commercial truck driver, dedicating over 30 years to the profession with steadfast determination. A true entrepreneur at heart, Rex founded two businesses that reflected his industrious spirit and hands-on expertise: Above All Cleaning in 2002 and Shining Light Lawn Service, with his son Kenny, in 2019. Through these ventures, he not only provided for his family but also served his community with pride and integrity. Known for his gifted hands, Rex had an uncanny ability to fix nearly anything—from home repairs to car maintenance—finding joy in solving problems and improving what he touched. Rex had a passion for cars that extended beyond a pastime; he took pride in customizing his vehicles and maintaining them with meticulous care. His well-used tool collection stood as a testament to countless hours spent tinkering and perfecting. He also enjoyed sports—especially basketball, boxing, and football—and found happiness in music and playing spades with friends and family. These moments reflected the vibrant energy he brought into every room. He is lovingly remembered by his children: Janella Johnson; Clairrisa Cox; Kenneth Jeffries; and Nichole Jeffries; as well as by his nephew Raymond Wallace (Brittany) and niece Stephanie Wallace. His legacy continues through his cherished grandchildren: Cierra, Kenyon, Shawn, Savien, Amaiyah, and Arielle; and grandnieces; Zyla, Araya, and Eris. Rex is also survived by his siblings: sisters Sheila, Claudette (Andrew), Glinda (Brian), Ernestine (CJ); and brother Tyrone (Stacy); along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends who will miss him deeply. He now joins in rest his parents Barbara and Harvey Jeffries; sisters Charlotte Czerniak and Joanne Wallace. May his memory bring comfort to all who knew him.
