Mr.. Raymond Moss

Raymond Irving Moss, born November 29, 1970, entered eternal rest on January 8, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, dedication, and unwavering love for family and community. Raymond was the beloved son of Judy Brown Moss and George Moss, and was lovingly raised by his maternal grandmother, Thelma J. Brown, who played a profound role in shaping the man he became. His early years were filled with faith, family, and the strong values that guided him throughout his life. Raymond received his early education at St. Anthony School and continued at St. Pius X High School graduating in 1988. He went on to earn a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Morris Brown College in1992 a milestone he was deeply proud of. For 26 years, Raymond served with dedication and excellence at the Teacher Retirement System, where he worked as a Retirement Specialist in the Retirement Services Division. His colleagues knew him as a steady presence, a patient guide, and someone who always brought warmth to the workplace. Raymond’s spiritual foundation began at Butler Street Baptist Church, where he worshipped in his early years. Later, he became a member of New Birth Church in Stonecrest, Georgia, where his faith continued to grow and sustain him. Raymond is reunited in eternal peace with his beloved Nanny, Thelma J. Brown, his mother Judy Brown Moss, his father George Moss, his aunt Margaret Moss, his cousin Brian Moss, honorary father William “Doug” Heggie, his sister, Myra Woodson and his fur baby Dolce He leaves to cherish his memory, his brother George Moss, his sister Kimberly Moss, bonus mom Carolyn Moss ,his honorary mother Deidre Heggie, as well as his brother John Christopher Woodson nephews Nicholas Woodson , and James “Jay” Hicks and King, his fur baby. He is also lovingly remembered by a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family, and friends who were touched by his gentle spirit and generous heart. Raymond will be remembered for his warm smile, his loyalty, his quiet strength, and the way he made everyone around him feel valued. His legacy lives on in the countless lives he touched.
