Ragan Danielle Smith came into the world on November 5, 1979, in Austell, Georgia, bringing joy to her loving parents, Elders Henry and Phyllis Smith. At just 18 months old, Ragan’s beauty and, undoubtedly, her beautiful eyes earned her the title of first runner-up for the “Most Beautiful Baby” in Cobb County, marking the beginning of a journey adorned with numerous beauty contest victories in her early years. Ragan’s journey with Jesus Christ began at the early age of six when she joyfully accepted Him as her Lord and Savior. As she grew into a young adult, she experienced the transformative Baptism of the Holy Spirit, which further enriched her faith. Ragan’s unwavering devotion led her to become an integral part of the One Accord Community Church of God in Christ, where she deeply admired Bishop T. A. Body and Pastor Darlene Body. Her passion for serving others shone through as she mentored young individuals and fervently prayed for them. Additionally, Ragan used her talents as a skilled photographer to enhance the ministry’s social media presence. Ragan received her education in the Cobb County School system, where her musical talents stood out. She excelled as the first chair saxophonist and pianist in high school. Ragan’s exceptional leadership skills were acknowledged through prestigious accolades and significant roles in the student council and band, highlighting her as an inspiring and remarkable individual. She was also a talented athlete and received an athletic scholarship to further her education at the prestigious Berry College in Rome, Georgia. After a brief illness brought her home for a short time, she was awarded a volleyball scholarship to South Carolina State University, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude in June of 2016. Ragan absolutely loved to travel. She was blessed to explore different destinations across the United States and the Caribbean Islands in the last few years. She was truly dedicated to her work, having held positions at Dollar Tree Corporation and as a manager at Materials in Motions Company in Union City. Ragan was absolutely overjoyed when Lee Boykin, the love of her life, proposed to her on July 9, 2021. In classic Ragan fashion, she shared the fantastic news simply and sweetly by posting a lovely photo of her ringed finger accompanied by the caption, “I said yes!” A fantastic daughter who loved and cared for her parents, friends, and family, Ragan will be missed by everyone she encountered. She was preceded in death by her great-grandfather, Rev. John A. Pierce, grandmother Annie Pierce, Grandfather Bishop Fred McMillion, and grandmother, Missionary Eddie Mae McMillion. She is survived by her parents, Elders Henry and Phyllis Smith of Lithia Springs, GA, fiancé Lee Boykin of Union City, GA; two aunts: Pastor Annie J. Washington Holmes of Chipley, FL, Kristy McMillion of Fort Benning, GA; two uncles: Richard McMillion of Ellenwood, GA, and Bishop John (Dr. Sharon) McMillion of Chipley, FL. She is also survived by her godparents, Minister Frank Ware and Mother P. Debra Ware, and many cousins, relatives, and friends—Charnita Drummon, Ishia Sellers, Tiara McGrew, Jordan Smith, and Lakeithia Wilder. Celebration of Life for Ms. Ragan Danielle Smith will be held Thursday, May 30, 2024, 11am at One Accord Community Church, 5285 Flat Shoals Pkwy, Decatur, GA 30034. Burial at Mt.
