It is with heavy hearts and cherished memories that we announce the passing of Mildred Kelly Browne, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Born on Tuesday, April 11th, 1950, in the charming town of Emporia, Virginia, Mildred peacefully departed this life on Friday, March 6th, 2026, in her residence in Stonecrest, Georgia, surrounded by her loving family. Mildred dedicated her life to nurturing and educating young minds as a devoted school teacher with the Dekalb County Board of Education. Her passion for teaching and her commitment to her students left a lasting impact on many, inspiring future generations with her warmth, wisdom, and unwavering dedication. Mildred's kindness extended beyond the classroom; she was a pillar of her community with a heart full of generosity and love. Her unwavering spirit and joyful presence will be profoundly missed by all who had the honor of knowing her. A visitation to honor and remember Mildred will be held at the Gregory B. Levett and Son Funeral Home - Flat Shoals Location in Decatur, Georgia, on Friday, March 13th, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Friends and family are invited to pay their respects and celebrate the life of this remarkable woman. A Celebration of Life service will take place at New Life Church in Decatur, GA, on Saturday, March 14th, 2026, at 2:00 pm. Following the service, Mildred will be laid to rest during an interment ceremony at Kennedy Memorial Cemetery in Ellenwood, GA, from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm. The family wishes to express heartfelt gratitude for the outpouring of love and support during this difficult time and would like to extend a special thank you to Gregory B.
