Masaline Latimer

The Story of a Phenomenal Woman Masaline Latimer Masaline Latimer was born on April 8th, 1959 in Lumpkin, Georgia to the late Eddie Latimer and Norlena Latimer. Masaline was educated in the Stewart County school system and graduated from Stewart County High School, class of 1977. After graduating she decided to further her education at Columbus State University. Upon finishing her degree, she moved to Atlanta, Georgia where she would pursue her career with Cobb Electric Membership Corporation as a member service representative. This position allowed her to display her passion for helping others. She confessed her faith in Christ at an early age at Stephens Chapel United Methodist Church in Lumpkin, Georgia. In the late 90’s she transferred her membership to Mount Paran Church of God in Atlanta, Georgia. Her interests included traveling, shopping, and eating. She devoted most of her life into her family and friends. She was a phenomenal woman; loving, generous, strong and independent. She was a mom, an aunt, a sister, a grandmother, but first a friend. Masaline was far from perfect, but definitely one of a kind. Masaline departed this life and entered eternal rest with god on February 12, 2018. She leaves many family members and friends to mourn and cherish her loving memories which include: one daughter, Lauren Latimer; one grandson, Zyon McCullough; two granddaughters, Tyhler Turner and Charleigh Smith; two brothers, James M (Wanda) Flanagan of Acworth, Georgia and Eddie Latimer Jr. of Lumpkin, Georgia; (one brother, Kelvin Latimer preceded her in death); one brother in-law, Melvin Garrett; three sisters, Jackie (Clint) Rivers, Sharon Latimer of Lumpkin Georgia, and Joyce Hardemon of Conyers, Georgia; (two sisters, preceded her in death, Linnette F Lately (2010) and Bonnie L Garrett (2008)); six nieces, nine nephews, fourteen great nieces, nine great nephews, and a host of relative and friends. Celebration of Life service will be held Thursday, February 22, 2018 at 1pm in our chapel. Visitation Wednesday, February 21, 2018 from 10am-8pm at Gregory B.
