Mary Duhart

Life Reflections Mary Duhart was called home to be with her heavenly father on March 9, 2016. Mary was born on June 15, 1941 to Beatrice Reese and the late Robert Reese, Sr. She married Eule Duhart, Sr. and they were blessed with six children. Mary accepted Christ at an early age and joined the Bethesda Baptist Church in Albany, Ga. She united with the St. Paul Baptist Church upon her relocation to Utica, New York, where she and her family resided for over 40 years. After relocating to Loganville, Ga, she joined the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church of Lawrenceville, GA until her death. Mary was a 1959 graduate of Monroe High School of Albany, GA and attended Albany State College. She also attended Mohawk Valley Community College and Utica College of Utica, NY. She retired from the Utica City School District after more than 28 ½ years as a Social Worker Liason. With the support of her husband, Eule and their children, Mary operated a Family Care home certified by the New York State Mental Health Department for more than 18 years. She was also active serving in her community with the hope of making a difference in other’s lives, especially children and the less fortunate. She held several officer positions in Utica’s Mohawk Valley Kidney Society, Mohawk Valley Family Care Providers Association of New York State at the local and state level; Steering Committee chairperson with the Utica City local chapter of the NAACP (ACT-SO) program, MADD, MAD, and other civic organizations. Mary leaves to cherish her love and memories; her devoted husband Eule Duhart, Sr., four daughters and two sons: Gwendolyn (Tony) Ackerman, Carolyn Duhart, Jacquelyn Duhart and Robert Duhart all of Loganville, GA; Eule Duhart, Jr. and Brenda (Edwin) Iyonmahan of Charlotte, NC. She also leaves to mourn four grandchildren Sean Ackerman, Ashley Ackerman and Amina Duhart of Loganville, GA and Jelani Duhart of Charlotte, NC. Her mother, Beatrice Reese; four brothers, David (Juanita) Reese , Charlie (Barbara) Reese, Jim Reese and Ray Reese, all of Albany, GA; seven sisters, Dorothy Hunigan, Fannie Bell, Deloris (George) Holiday, Jackie Reese, Yvonne Reese, Alma (Larry) Blakely all of Albany, GA and Mildred Faison of Fayetteville, NC; a maternal aunt, Macy Owens of Albany, GA, a maternal uncle Marvin Barnes and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relative and friends. She is survived by two sisters-in law, five brothers-in law, nieces, nephews, and a host of long-time friends. Mary was preceded in death by her father Robert Reese, Sr., three brothers; Elijah Reese, Andrew Reese, and Robert Reese, Jr.; and two sisters, Martha Reese and Lucille Reese.
