Mrs. Marlesa Berly Robinson

Elder Marlesa B. Robinson daughter of the late Myrna Lee Bowles and James Lee Bowles was born on March 18, 1956, in Atlanta GA. Elder Marlesa Robinson professed a belief in the Lord and accepted Jesus Christ as her personal savior at an early age and joined New Jerusalem Baptist Church where she served in the church office as well as the choir. She later joined the Little Miller Grove Baptist Church where she faithfully served as a minister and the church secretary. Elder Robinson attended Dobbs Elementary School and graduated from Price High School. She later attended and graduated from Georgia State University. Elder Robinson attended several Biblical Schools and was so proud to receive her degree from the Christian School of Theologians with Instructor Dr. Carl Webb. Elder Robinson started her career at the United States Census Bureau, where she was the Regional Director for many years. On May 17, 1986, Elder Marlesa B. Robinson was united into Holy Matrimony to her loving devoted husband of 38 years, Pastor Michael Lewis Robinson Sr. To this union two sons were born: Michael Louis Robinson Jr. and Matthew Reshard Robinson. Elder Robinson was a woman of unwavering faith she loved the Lord first throughout her life, she remained a devoted servant not only in church but also within her family. She imparted her faith and values into her children, raising them to be strong men of faith. As a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Elder Robinson’s legacy as a women of God will forever be remembered by family, friends and the countless lives she touched. Elder Robinson enjoyed traveling, shopping ,watching her favorite TV shows and movies. Her spirit was rooted in love and her presence brought so much joy to everyone. One of her favorite things to do was spending time with her grandchildren: Jamari, Cherish, Reshard and Taylor. Elder Marlesa B. Robinson made her greatest transition into eternal rest on Saturday, November 9, 2024, where she went to be with the Lord to join her husband Michael Lewis Robinson Sr. and son Matthew Reshard Robinson along with her mother (Myrna Bowles), grandmother (Mattie Mae Thomas) and a host of other relatives. She is survived by her oldest son, Michael Louis Robinson Jr. (Zandria). Her grandchildren Jamari Robinson and Aaliyah Woods (Yakini Brown), Cherish Robinson (Jahaziah Davis), Reshard Robinson and Taylor Veasley (Zandria Woods). Her siblings: Reverend Samuel Bowles (Arlene Bowles), Sylvia Stewart (James Stewart), James Bowles (Patrice Bowles), April Bowles, Mrs. Betty Peters, Angela Permenter (Pastor Robert Permenter), Pastor Timothy Robinson (Tonja Robinson). God-mom Elizabeth Heard, God-daughters, Ms. Raven Seamless, Ms. Fallon McClelland, and Ms. Tatayana Redd, An unlimited number of God sons by way of her birthed children and host of nieces, nephews, cousins, God-sisters, God-brothers, and friends. Elder Marlesa B. Robinson legacy of love, faith and service will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her. We rejoiced in knowing that she has received her heavenly wings and now rest in eternal peace with the Lord.
