Marie Yvette Lyron was truly an extraordinary woman, a one-of-a-kind soul who touched countless lives in her 67 years on this Earth. Our mother was not just a mother to us, she was the mother of all. Our mother was also a father, a best friend, a pillar of strength, faith and a beacon of unwavering love. She embodied resilience and compassion in everything she did, always finding a way to give cheerfully to others, even in the midst of her own struggles. Despite facing pain and challenges day in and day out, our mother never once complained or sought pity. Her response to inquiries about her well-being was always a simple "I'm okay," a testament to her selflessness and her desire to shield us from worry. Mom worked tirelessly, sacrificing so much to provide us with the life we have today. Her unwavering support, her endless encouragement, and her boundless love were the foundations upon which we built our lives and pursued our dreams. She was our rock, our guiding light, our source of inspiration. As we gather here today, we feel the immense void left by her passing. The world feels a little dimmer without her infectious laughter, her warm embrace, and her comforting presence. She will be deeply missed by so many, but her absence will be felt most keenly by us, her children and grandchildren, who were blessed to have known her love and her grace. Though we mourn her loss, let us also celebrate the incredible legacy she leaves behind. Let us carry forward her kindness, her compassion, and her unwavering spirit, her faith and her resilience so that her memory may live on in the lives we touch and the love we share. Rest in peace, Mom. You were truly one of a kind, and your light will continue to shine brightly in our hearts forever.
