Mrs. Laquacer Desha Daniel

The Life of Mrs. Laquacer Desha Daniel Laquacer Desha Daniel was born May 22, 1974 in Atlanta, Georgia to Mr. Eddie, Sr. and Mrs. Eloise Smith. She shared her time in the womb with her beloved fraternal twin, Jaquacer, and throughout life, they affectionately referred to one another as “womb-mates.” They were the older sisters of one younger brother, Eddie Smith, Jr. Laquacer was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, niece, cousin, and friend who loved her family and friends dearly. Laquacer accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Atlanta Bible Baptist Church under Pastor Dr. John McNeal, Jr. There she received her spiritual foundation. She and her husband later became an active member of Berean Christian Church Gwinnett, under Pastor Kevin B. Lee, where she enjoyed serving on the Creative Ministry until her health failed in February 2019. Laquacer grew up in a small, nurturing community in Decatur, Georgia surrounded by love and a close-knit family. She was educated in the Dekalb County Public School System beginning her education at Snapfinger Elementary School where she showed her academic abilities at an early age. She was placed in advanced Math courses by her fifth-grade year and during these formative years, she also displayed her creativity and passion for drawing often creating various hairstyles and fashions. She would submit her work in drawing contests, which fueled her passion even more. Laquacer possessed a natural ability to see “art” in anything and transform her creativity into a beautiful masterpiece. She would go on to attend Towers High School, and there, her passion continued when she created the Varsity Football banners for the school. During her tenure at Towers, she also participated on the Varsity cheer team, track and field, and the marching band. As she matured, her personality began to shine, and Laquacer became a true “Diva Girl,” always glowing with her hoop earrings, noticeable hairstyles, and fashionable clothing. She became an influencer even before it was popular to do so. Upon graduation from Towers High School in 1992, Laquacer and her “womb mate” would begin their collegiate career at the University of Georgia in Athens, Georgia. Laquacer loved being a Georgia Bulldog. She graduated in 1997 with a Bachelor of Arts in Graphic Design. For years to come, she would represent her beloved UGA. After returning home, Laquacer joined her parents’ company, E. Smith Box, Inc. working in sales, but her heart would later lead her to graphic design. Laquacer would follow in her father’s footsteps and open her own design and creative marketing firm in 2010, East Metro Design and Marketing, LLC. For nine years, she served her clients with superior customer service and dedication, providing compelling creative marketing products and demonstrating her love and creativity in graphic design. She was also blessed to open a brick and mortar location in October 2018 to offer her clients a full-service experience. Laquacer loved her family unconditionally. She married shortly after returning to Atlanta and from that union, two children were born- Lauren and Dalen Tinch. Her love for her children was unwavering. She ensured they had a quality education and her love showed in her active participation in the PTA, becoming the PTA President until her health failed. Laquacer’s love for her children could be felt by all who knew her and even those who had just met her. In 2008, Laquacer would meet her soulmate, Reginald Daniel. They would marry in 2011. Her love for him became apparent because of the care and kindness he showed for her and her children. Reginald loved Laquacer with all his heart and honored his vows to her until she entered her final rest. Laquacer was a devout Christian that dedicated her life to helping others as much as she could. She lived her life to the fullest, loved making grand entrances, maintained a vivacious spirit, and walked through life with unwavering faith. She had a fierce and bold character and her presence was felt whenever she was near. She showed up as her authentic self and made no apologies for who she was. She was deeply loved and her presence will be greatly missed. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Ulysses, Sr. and Nudie Smith, and her maternal grandparents, Harry and Beatrice Tate. Her memories will be cherished forever by her loving husband, Mr. Reginald Daniel; daughter, Lauren Tinch; son, Dalen Tinch; bonus sons, Desmond Conley and Cameron (Erica) Daniel; parents, Mr. Eddie, Sr. and Eloise Smith; twin sister, Mrs. Jaquacer (Jairus) Middlebrooks, brother, Mr. Eddie (Latonya) Smith, Jr., sister, Ms. Chelsea Rouse Smith; grandchildren, Kayla, Jeremiah, and Noah Daniel, Hayden, Kingston, and MaKaiah Conley; nieces, Jordynn and Joiya Middlebrooks; nephews, Terrance Jr., Darius, and Jacob Daniel; father-in-law and mother-inlaw, Mr. Isaac and Mrs. Elattis Daniel; brothers-in-law, Mr. Terrance (Rita) Daniel and Mr. Brian Daniel; and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, loved ones and friends.
